Will we ever be able to sell items at night?

I find myself playing Animal Crossing at night. Like ALOT (and I'm sure many of you can agree haha)

Nooks Cranny closes at 10PM. Will we ever be able to sell items late at night again like in New Leaf?

There's a drop-off box feature, it's right outside the door. However, each item is 20% less using this feature.

There's the box outside the shop that you can sell to, but it takes 20% of the sell price for the processing fee and such. The money from that box goes right into your bank account the next morning so it isn't ideal if you need bells right that moment.

From the looks of things I'm not sure if late-night ordinances are gonna be in the game. We aren't the mayor of the island so we don't have a say in what times the shop open and close like in New Leaf... It's up to Tom.

Yeah I saw the drop box concept but I don't love it. It just sucks cus I always have like tons of stuff I need to sell at night, idk it's just something I love doing haha. Hopefully one day :/

Luckily we can put stuff outside so I just leave what I need to sell outside of nook's cranny and sell it the next day.

maybe eventually if the store upgrades. the convenience store upgrades in previous games stayed open well into the night if i'm remembering correctly, so maybe we'll have an upgrade like that, or just one that has better late-night times.

I usually put things that aren't worth much in the drop box, and anything high value I just put on the ground outside the shop.

Maybe with an upgrade? I keep my high value items in storage til Nooks open at 8 and put low value things like shells in the drop box.

The odd thing about this feature is it feel like a downgrade getting the baby nooks out of the tent because I recall being able to sell to them late at night even when the store would usually be closed, I hope at some point in the update cycle we might see a better option than the drop off box or a way to maybe make them stay open till like midnight?

Back in New Leaf I just started setting my my game clock a few hours earlier so I could play later and still have the Beautiful Town Ordinance active. It was nice to actually see daylight again in my game, as a regular night owl.

i mostly play at night too. i just put stuff in my inventory or on the ground (when it's full) and sell it the next day.

Yeah I feel the same way... I was reminiscing on the good old first few days when I could sell anything at any time lol. Go back to the tent baby nooks!
