As mayor, in New Leaf, I've never really felt in control.
I'd like to really be in control. To make decisions without being told by Isabelle what is going to be.

I say we petition to give poor Isabelle a day off. Joking, of course. But really- that poor child needs a break! NINTENDO I DEMAND A DAY OFF FOR ISABELLE!
But back on topic-
I really hope we get to play as the mayor again. I've really come to love that about New Leaf... it would be a shame to see the great concept go to waste if they just toss it away in the upcoming game! I mean, really- there's so much they could do with it, far beyond what they already have established!
I'd really love for us to be able to create our own events and pick days for said events, or the events the game has already. If we could choose days, that would be great. Maybe even a duration of said event! Like, we could have a week-long celebration of something! That would be cool to see.
I'd also like to see the level of town customization increased. More pwps, more flower options, more tree options, more bush options- just more of everything. There's so many things they could add to the Switch game to make it really incredible.
We're counting on you Nintendo!

You have a lot of ideas that I also have considered and agreed with, hats off to you.
Also, I'm giving Isabelle as many days off as I can in December by scanning her Amiibo in so Wisp can be her placeholder. ;____; Someone on another site posted that's what they do since the WA update and my heart melted.

It’s kinda what TS4 did with seasons and gave calanders with default holidays for that month, but you could also make your own and even edit existing ones (so you didn’t have to deal with appeasing the gnomes during winter)

I think it?ll be difficult for Nintendo to cast the player as anything other than the mayor after giving players so much power and freedom to customise their town in New Leaf. Even if Nintendo decide not to make the player the mayor, I think they?ll keep the player in some form of power as it makes the most sense regarding allowing the player to customise their town. If you were just a random villager it makes no sense that we?d have the power to make PWPs, landscape, place paths and potentially be able to dictate where other villagers could put their houses. I don?t mind being Mayor to be honest. I like the power it gives me XD

It is bad for video games to remove popular features in newer games, especially in a time when gaming technology is improving. So I don’t think we won’t have mayoral features or at least town design. In fact, I would like more mayoral features.
