Will you be able to name your town?

This is probably a weird question, but does anyone know if you'll be able to name your town like in the other titles? And if so, what will the character limit be? I would like a 9-10 character limit, though it probably will be the classic 8. Does anyone know? Thanks!

I doubt it considering you don't really have a town, but if you mean the main street, maybe idk

I would assume we can name the town. We have been able to since the very first game. I don't see why they would change that for this one.

Its not an actual ac game tho, so its not gonna be like the usual.

I don't think there is a town at all, apart from main street. So maybe you can name main street but no town.

You can assign animals jobs and things though which seems like it would require a town beyond main street. Luckily it'll be out in Japan later this month so hopefully we can find out more either way.

Not necessarily, since the jobs you can assign the animals are from buildings located on the main street {which someone pointed out is two "floors" or however you call it}. If anything it looks more like a town square, with rural areas for villagers to live in {obviously what's on the map shown} so maybe we will get to name it

After playing it, sadly we can't name our towns AND it only allowed me to have one player. So, it's got some drawbacks to the main series...
