Will you buy cards?

Will you buy cards?

If the game was free, I would buy a pack of cards out of curiosity. In all likelihood the game and cards will cost dinero so it won't be happening. I find house decorating gets boring very quickly..

I am not sure. I will have to see what kind of prices they will charge for each card. I certainly hope not ?4.99 per card...

I have literally only justified amiibo figures in my mind and so to add amiibo cards might need some serious reconsideration to what items I purchase in the future, if that is understandable? I ask because I have slightly confused myself. lol

I do wish they gave details of the cards such as material and how the scanning will work and etc

if I was to guess on cost based upon other card packs, I'd say maybe $4-5 for a pack of 5-9 cards, but...

No since the game seems rather trash and I don't like having useless cards lying around.

I wonder if they will really have cards for all of the animals right from the start. Maybe they'll just release a few, then a few more, and so on. If they have all of them available from the start, yeah, sure, take my money. But otherwise I will probably get bored with the game before the cards I want are even available.

I voted that I would buy them all.

Ill be buying them all

Depends how they sell them, I don't want to spend money and end up with multiples of ones I have already...am wondering how they will do this part of it without money waste on a big scale.

I also won't play t at all unless it actually has a cartridge and not too much data save to the console or e version stuff...I don't like e games I like to keep my towns cart only.

If this is an actual thing (I'm still not convinced that it's not an April Fool's joke; I'll see if they're still promoting it in a few days)...then my answer is "no".

I don't have a Wii U, and I wouldn't get amiibos for that, either. These cards are the same thing...they're just another money sink. If the game costs money (3ds games are typically between $40-50, with the occasional one at $30), and the ad is to be believed, then there would probably be an additional cost for that reader-thing to play it on the 3ds/XL if someone doesn't have the New 3ds.
Then, add in the price of the cards...

All I see is a giant money trap. If I ever have enough money to spend on cards again, I'll go back to playing MtG and not spend money on cards which take the place of amiibos.

I could see it being a joke, a tease as he says we removed all the gameplay aspects...I mean they know that's what we like..plus cards and readers and only homes. But it would be a good way to tease the one really interesting clip in the video for a new release...a house party of animals, being able to do things or interact with more than one together..now that's a game I'd buy AC Party Time, or AC Let's Hang Out...not let me be a house builder and not your friend.

The we removed all the tasks and actual gameplay seems a massive April Fool but a teaser for like hey let's ALL or a few of us plan a dinner night or to go see KK Slider or more interaction, the dance party looking thing got me, that's the only thing that seemed non jokey.

I keep telling myself, yeah, I will only get a few... but I know myself, I'm a collector, so I'll probably end up getting like everything available. Sometimes, I annoy myself. :( (It's gonna be expensive.)

Personally, it really does depend on how good the game will be for me in order to actually progress in further investing in it. If the game is more fun than I had expected it to be, then I may or may not (depending on how much the cards will be) purchase them. In all truth, all I see nowadays is Nintendo trying to make more money off of something that they know people already will jump at the gun to buy simply for the namesake. Everything is now requiring "Cards and Toys" in order to progress in/or play anything nowadays. While yes, I agree it is a very cool idea, I also on the other hand think they are overly-priced. Amiibo are very expensive and I personally feel it is definitly not worth the amount they are offering. The prices are a tad bit high so I just hope that the cards will be a bit more accomidating to a fair price set. All in all, I just hope the game will live up to it's name and not be a waste of time.

I'm definitely going to try and get every Animal Crossing amiibo card that Nintendo makes after they release. They look so awesome, and i'd love to have cards of Animal Crossing characters! :)

It depends on the price or how many you get in a set and so on... also I will watch a few reviews first to see if its worth getting...

I've always liked to collect cards so of course! especially because I love animal crossing so much, it's one of my favorite games and has really made my childhood fun:)
