Pokémon Wonder Trade Surprise

Ok I shiny hunt both in the wild and on wonder trade. And on Alpha Sapphire just now I was doing wonder trade, and I forgot what I traded. But in a return I got a FREAKING SHINY LOPUNY WITH CUTE CHARM, LVL 32 HOLDING A FREAKING MASTER BALL. it?s male which is weird BUT IM FREAKING OUT INTERNALLY

Shinies are so worthless unless they're your own though. People hack them so frequently to the point that I doubt any I get from trades are legit.

This is also why I just hunt for them myself. Got a Politoed yesterday

I got once some shinys via Wonder Trade as well as some Event Pokemon which were clearly hacked. Other then that, I got also a few Lv. 100 Pokemon and some which were useful for me.

Yeah but to an extent it's true. I personally love getting shiny Pokemon in wonder trades, but it's just not the same unless you catch it yourself.

That being said, great find! I've gotten quite a few shinies in WT, but one of my favorites was a Lv.1 shiny Dialga that had Pokerus and was holding a Master Ball. I know it was hacked but I'll never pass up a free Master Ball

How is it different? I mean, it may be different to you, but what gives your set of values more gravitas than the original poster's? Can you produce any empirical evidence that proves that a shiny Pok?mon caught by a user is any different than a shiny Pok?mon received by any other means? So let the original poster enjoy his or her find.

All I am reading is that there are at least two people who would not get as excited about something as the original poster would. And if that is the case, why are you even commenting on it?

I also got many cool pok?mon through wonder trade! Once in pok?mon sun I got a 100 lvl shiny kyerum which was probably hacked but I loved it!

I didn't mean to denigrate it but I suppose I didn't word it very well so sorry for that. Was just trying to share my perspective on it

Easiest way to tell is to check it’s IVs (if you have the judge option unlocked in the PC in Sun/Moon) if it has 6 perfect IVs and is shiny without a doubt it’s hacked. 6ivs even with a skilled breeder is extremely rare (legitimately that is). If you check it’s ivs and it says 5 are perfect as long as it was hatched from an egg 5 is believable. Legendaries usually only have 3 perfect IVs since they can’t be hatched so anymore than 4 perfect IVs and I’d be sceptical.

Also while a lot of shinies thrown on the GTS or out in Wonder Trades are usually hacked they aren’t always. I got a Shiny Cobalion once (since traded to someone else) that I genuinely believe was legit as it’s IVs were nothing insane. Yes it still could have been hacked but I doubt it.

Also I myself have sent out legit shinies that I have caught myself so some are definitely real. There are a few kind souls out there that like to share legit shinies they don’t really want/need with others dotted between all the hackers believe it or not.

I've wondertraded on Moon a lot and my best finds were shiny pheromosa, shiny froakie, shiny shinx, and shiny diancie. The only one that may have not been hacked was the shinx
