Would anybody be interested in joining a Dream Suite Rating Team?

It's been on my mind for a while, and I've been meaning to make this thread, which is why it is finally here! Back when the game was first out, I was obsessed with the Dream Suite and wanted badly to rate other people's dream towns, however, things didn't quite work out and I never fully got around too officially doing such. Hence why I'm posting now, asking if anyone would like to assist me//help provide ideas?

My basic ideas are as followed:
We have a rating system (so like so many out of so many score)
We have a limit of 10-15 Pictures (but can pick out pictures together)
We provide full paragraphed reviews with positives and constructive criticism to help people with town improvement
We have fun! Working as a team and hopefully helping other people out.

Also I have an idea, every week or so we select a *town of the week* or town of the month or something like that. Also, if this becomes a big thing we could have a newsletter or something with the best towns we've visited x3

That sounds good. Another category I thought of is atmosphere where we rate how the time of day, weather, season, and music fits with the town. Also, I think it would make sense to have separate categories for the house interiors and the rest of the town because houses are complex enough to have their own ratings.

That sounds like a good idea. The only problem that I can think of is that it is important that the houses fit in with the rest of the town. If someone just goes directly to the houses without looking at the rest of the town, it is more difficult to judge the houses based on context. But it wouldn't be too hard for the house rater(s) to briefly tour the town before visiting houses, so maybe this isn't a big issue.

This sounds fun :3 Although I think we should be able to rate towns independently, because it's unlikely that everyone who joins will agree on a single rating. Rather than one group rating, I feel like people should be able to post their dream address, and get multiple reviews from group members. It'll be somewhat like other dream address rating threads, but with group members that are actually committed to giving thorough reviews in a timely manner. We can all decide on and stick to the same criteria when rating a town, but give our own opinions/ feedback/ constructive criticism.

I agree, it may get too confusing if everyone has differing opinions on each categories. Too many cooks in the kitchen. ^^; This is a great idea, though! I'd like to help if needed. I also agree Homes should also be a category.

I run dreamingofacnl on tumblr which is basically a database for all types of dream towns for people to find sorted by categories. (Anyone is welcome to submit their DAs on there btw!) I think this could be useful in case anyone on here wants to look for inspiration or would like visitors/reviews.

Well, in all honesty, I was in contemplation of having different people do different towns.
As not only would we be accepting requests from people wishing us to visit, but also visit towns known well on the internet, or found otherwise!

Well, I was contemplating maybe there being different people for different towns, the teamwork would primarily be based on like, going through pictures together, and possibly sharing opinions ;u;

But I think the newsletter//town of the week could be a fun thing, everyone could pitch together and based on the pictures could choose one! c:

OMG, I literally was planning on doing this! I have been thinking about this for a while now, I've always wanted to be the judge of other peoples creations because I believe amazing work should be complimented and shared amongst others! Also, I want people to better themselves and improve! Helping people is something I'm passionate about! Where do I sign up!~

an idea! if you do decide to do this using the idea of a newsletter! maybe you can have different subgroups/teams who rate and analyse a town each week and the newsletter would feature a section for each team and their analysis/review! or maybe different departments/subordinates specifically designed to talk about a specific category, like mentioned above, and form categories where they won't collide with each other, like:

color/theme coherence (both homes and town)
unique features
space management

something like that lol! xD

I usually travel to random dream towns, so perhaps I could just write about ones I find that were decent? Also that newsletter idea sounds kinda cool. xD

Yeah definitely! Maybe you could have the same things for houses?
Like Organisation be primarily Furniture Placement, and Atmosphere could be like, how it fits in with the rest of the town, and how atmospheric it is. (A town that shows good atmosphere house-wise would be Aika, as the Houses help tell the story)

I was thinking, maybe, there'd be 1 person whom goes to a town, takes some pictures, and writes down their initial rating.
Then they share pictures + have assistance with picking them out! c:
