I absolutely love the idea of Amenities being brought to New Horizons. Obviously they would need to change the feature so that it reflects the full game and not the Pocket Camp app, but I think it would be a really nice addition.

It would be cool to be able to build a pool for the villagers in the square, or a treehouse in the backyard of your house. Mind you I would expect all of the amenities could be interacted with. I would like to be able to go into the tree house and use it as another space for furnishing and decorating. The pool could be used by the villagers and you for interacting in some way. They could use the carnival amenities to build a small carnival park for the villagers and you to interact with in some way.

I thought maybe they could take the half-pipe and turn it into a little mini game that has a leaderboard where you need to do as many tricks in a time limit or something. They could also make an arcade amenity where you can interact with it and it starts a small mini retro game with a leaderboard.

Anyone else think this would be a nice addition? Their are so many possibilities for different amenities.

I imagine amenities will be in New Horizons, whether they're called amenities, PWPs, or something entirely new. Whether it's a long term crafting project or something we just pay a certain amount for and wait or even a combination of the two has yet to be seen.

I'd love that! Always here for new interactive objects, because most of the pwp's in new leaf were purely for aesthetics. They don't have to bring over all the ameneties, because some don't really make sense to me (like a random train), but I think amenities like the pool and tree swing should definitely be brought over!

Yeah, there's so much new content in PC it seems logical to implement it in some way and give players a lot of choices.

I'm sure they'll bring something like it. you have to decorate the place somehow and if they are, hope they are more interactable instead of just a structure you walk around and that there isn't a level-based system like in PC.

I don't think their should be a level system, but I do think it would be cool if you could build stages of the amenity and upgrade over time, like the houses. The houses change on the outside as you upgrade the inside. What if you could upgrade the exterior or interior of an amenity and the outside would also change.

Examples:

Swing:
Stage 1: Tire and rope.
Stage 2: Plank and 2 ropes.
Stage 3: Decorated plank and 2 vines with flowers.

Treehouse:
Stage 1: Small bare minimum wood box.
Stage 2: Larger wooden house with a window.
Stage 3: Decorated wooden House with a window and painted.

It would give us more of a sense of accomplishment. Plus I always love when games show the stages of upgrades when building. It makes it less dull and adds that little touch of realism. I want to have a reason to go back and continue using all of the features in animal crossing. I don't want to build something and feel like I can never go back to it and use it again.

i totally agree. with the whole island situation i would assume it's completely barren at first but as you play it'll bring more life to the place. this is one idea that would help make that happen, i guess i'm just a big picky how they choose to implement it. i have faith they'll keep the mobile game mechanics to itself, rightfully so. in terms of seeing a town progress, i think the series could use more of that. in acnl, you had the town tree that grew up the more achievements you accomplished. hope to see more examples of this

I would want the pwp’s to be more interactive with the villagers which was a problem with new leaf as the only ones they could use were benches. Since pocket camp is a update on how well it works, maybe we might get what we want :p

I would love to see amenities! However I want to be able to interact with them. It bother me in PC that the amenities were for the villagers only. I want to swing on the tree too! >.<

My thoughts exactly. Amenities sounds like a good idea and I wouldn't mind if they are available in New
Horizons, however, it would be nice if these aren't "villagers only"- amenities but if the player could also
use them too. After all, I'm pretty sure you have to craft or pay for those amenities and I don't wanna
ending up standing next to them the whole time and getting jealously of how much fun my villagers
have with those.
