Wouldn't you guys like to play as a different species?

I would love it but sadly don't think it will happen

I wouldn't like it! I think it's a nice dynamic. it wouldn't feel like animal crossing to me anymore as well

I think it'd be really interesting in maybe a spin-off or a non-main series AC game. There'd have to be a LOT of customization options for it to work as well as it should, but it would be fun to see what it would be like!

OMG BEING A ANIMAL? OPPOSE IT! ID RATHER BECOME HUMAN INSTEAD OF A DOG OR CAT!

Honest reason: No. It's better to play as a human than to become as a random animal. Sorry, you should rethink it.

I think the concept of having Player 1 as a human and Player 2, 3 and 4 being animals could be interesting, but I like playing as a human, personally.

No human villagers.

I would be interested to see what it would look like to play an animal...but I'd only do it if I could play as my favorite - OPOSSUMS.

I would hate the game if this were to happen. The point of Animal Crossing is that the humans are the real people who you play with and help out, and the animals are the NPCs who you talk to when you?re bored or need something. If you were able to play as an animal or the humans were villagers, I don?t think I would?ve stuck with AC for this long.

This is also one of the reasons why I hate the dream suite. There?s humans, but they?re not interacting with you in real time, and it just doesn?t feel right.

This would be very interesting. If it were to ever happen, Nintendo would have to really sound oblivious to the certain audiences it would attract, and try to make it not seem like just playing as a furry. Because, well, thats what it is hA. I am conflicted on if I would like this or not though

I think the game would lose a lot of its charm with a role reversal like that. I wouldn't like player animals even if there were still animal villagers.

It would cause problems with items fitting and collision boxes but still would be cool

I would prefer the game to stay the way it is. You are a human in a town full of animals. This is what makes it Animal Crossing. Changing the fact will pretty much take the meaning away from the game.
