Writer's Block - What makes a good teacher? ✿◠‿◠)

Hello TBT Forums! You are all a really sweet, creative bunch; and did anyone tell you how great your hair is today? ? ▽ ` )ﾉ *

I'm Kait, a 20-something recent graduate pouring over job applications for my field of teaching and wouldn't you know it after 20-some applications & cover letters, I HAVE WRITER'S BLOCK.

This is unfortunate as I don't have a career yet, and job hunting does not pay very well.

BUT YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE CAN HELP. I just need to get the creative juices flowing and who better to ask than my favorite online community? This particular question has been bothering me for a full day now. "Describe the skills or attributes you believe are necessary to be an outstanding teacher." I could write a book on this topic, but I'd rather not. So.. what do you think?

What things do YOU believe make an outstanding teacher?​

One who listens to their students.
One who implements some type of reward now and then.
One who keeps assignments organized.
One who doesn't just put a read aloud thing on the board every time we need to learn something new.
One who picks varieties of students on questions, and not the same one always.
One who let's more freedom on things to do if students behave.
One who if a kid did something wrong doesn't give the whole class punishment when it was the kid.

one who gets their class truly interested in the topic theyre learning

One that lets students apply what they have learned instead of just having paper worksheets and tests (having science projects and labs would be a good example).
