Your islands' grass will only be triangle shape?

Hello everyone!

So I was watching TheBitBlock's new video earlier and he pointed out that the only grass pattern seen in the game so far are the triangles. I wonder if they completely removed the other grass patterns in this game. How do y'all feel about it?

Personally I don't really mind it but I know some people were planning to reset to have their desired grass pattern.

I would prefer circle grass, but I really don't mind. Its probably the least important factor of my town to be honest.

I prefer triangle grass, but grass is something I don't bother resetting for. If it's locked, that's fine for me.

I know in new leaf when there was triangle or square grass It would form a weird line on the grid. That’s why I prefer the circle....it was less stressful on my eyes. However, for new horizons the graphics are better so I don’t think it would be a problem or bother me.

I'd honestly prefer it being locked so that people (like me) don't have to worry about resetting for a certain one on top of resetting for certain fruit and villagers.
Either way it's not a big deal, I think all of the shapes will look great with the new graphics.

We have seen as well circle one in one picture ; so I suppose there will be more shapes than just the triangle one.

The gras pattern changes in winter during snow, so not having triangles there isn't a confirmation. It seems like it will be circles during snow but triangle when there is no snow.

Snow has always been different shapes though. IIRC, you'd always get circle snow in a triangle grass town.

I imagine this'll probably go the same way as the Uchi-Jock theory in that Nintendo's probably locked current footage to show just those bits because maybe the other grass isn't ready yet (or, in the case of the other villagers, the dialogue isn't complete)

I think it makes sense for them to make the triangle shape the default since that's what all the Amiibos have, but I wouldn't be surprised if we're getting several gardening tools where changing the shape is an option as well.

Bit of a shame if true, but I'm glad in the sense that it means I don't have to worry about grass on top of everything else when resetting!

We really don't know. It's possible the test builds/accounts they presented only allowed for triangle grass. I like triangle grass, so I don't mind, though it will be a bit of a shame.
