Your skincare!

I always go for simpler routines. A skincare routine does not have to be complicated to be effective, though my once previously complicated routine *did* make my face feel so smooth. It's just harder to stick with. That said, I do wish I had a facial toner and a serum for spot treatments, but I haven't put in the time to do my research.

AM:
Sunscreen (Biore PA+++++)

PM:
Neutrogena Ultra Sensitive Face Wash
Neutrogena hyaluronic acid moisturizer

As needed:
Burt's Bees Acne Spot Treatment

Previously used:
Kikumasamune Toner - this stuff is awesome. I used it before putting on my moisturizer and my face felt sooo nice and smooth. I'm considering repurchasing this.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil - used for double cleansing. I'm considering getting this one again too. Despite my previous comment about simpler routines, double cleansing actually makes your skin feel so soft and I found it really minimized my pores.

I've also thought about starting Retin A for preventing wrinkles, but have not had the chance to visit a dermatologist.

I can't believe I haven't posted here:

name: Renn / jadetine
age range: 30-40
skin type: "normal" - not too oily, not too dry; maybe my nose and T-zone gets shiny with oil during summer
skin concerns: sun protection (I live in a sunny part of the US) and anti-aging
skin sensitivity: low. most products don't break me out or cause trouble (SAME) -- only in winter do I get dry skin and feel the burn if I'm too lax on my routine
other information: I don't like slapping oil onto my face-- I prefer more "milky" or creamy products that aren't too heavy.

Current Products:

[Face Wash] Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Foam -- my face wash step
[Toner] LANCÔME Tonique Confort -- it's a milky pink hydrating toner that is substantial enough that I don't feel like I dropped $30+ on rosy oil water (which is why I had dropped the L'Occitane Immortelle); the scent is very light and clean and it spreads easily
[Serum] Innisfree Green Tea Hydrating Serum -- the second step with a light herbal scent and more goopy but not sticky
[Moisturizer] La Neige Water Bank Moisturizer

I adhere to the same face routine of Toner --> Serum --> Moisturizer after every shower.

Seasonal steps:
[Face Sunscreen] Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector 50+ SPF: it is very easy to apply and doesn't leave much residue, and doesn't smell bad... a bit pricy, though!

[Chapstick] Moon Valley Organics Lime + Coconut Beeswax Chapstick -- A brand local to the Seattle area that sells on Amazon. I just like this flavor because lime makes me nostalgic for pho and home. I apply it after brushing my teeth.

ooh i love this!! skincare is such a fun subject. i always love to see what people are using/recommendations!!!

name: hyoon
age range: 20+
skin type: oily (sadddd)
skin concerns: hydration and upkeep/oil control at times
skin sensitivity: none really. if a product doesn't sit right with me, i do breakout but i'm not particularly acne prone. however, i would rather be on the safe side and look for things that are acne safe just in case!
other information: as someone with oily skin, i tend to dislike really "heavy" feeling products or anything that makes me look too greasy (definitely not a fan of that whole "glass" skin thing since my skin already gets naturally shiny lol)

Current Products:
- anua heartleaf pore control foaming cleanser
- anua heartleaf toner pad
- numbuzin no.5 vitamin c serum
- glow recipe watermelon toner
- anua heartleaf soothing toner
- roundlab dokdo toner
- skin1004 centalla asiatica ampoule
- tirtir niacinamide serum
- roundlab birch juice moisturizer
- skin1004 hyalucica sunscreen
- roundlab birch juice sunscreen

Current Routine:
~ Morning ~

- i don't wash my face in the morning
- depending on if i'll be wearing makeup, i'll use the glow recipe toner, a vitamin c serum, and sunscreen. if not, i just go in with the vitamin c serum and then sunscreen

~ Evening ~
- cleanse with anua cleanser
- depending on what my skin needs, i'll choose a toner. if my skin needs some extra exfoliation, i'll use the anua toner pads/glow recipe toner. otherwise, my normal toner is currently the dokdo toner but i'm potentially looking to switch it out cause i'm not sure if it's actually doing anything for my skin lol
- then i layer products in order of consistency with the thinnest products first after my toner which is the centalla asiastica ampoule > serum > moisturizer to seal it all in

i used to like a complicated skincare routine but as the years have passed i've discovered that my skin doesn't need a whole lot to look great.

my routine these days is incredibly simple.

name: g u a v a
age range: #####
skin type: sensitive, previously acne prone, and dry
skin concerns: anti-aging and moisture retention
skin sensitivity: kinda, some products i can't use at all but i tend to prefer stuff formulated for sensitive skin.
other information: i hate clutter so as few products the better for me./

Current Products:

- bioderma bar soap: great gentle cleanser, i tend to cleanse once a day at night but sometimes twice a day if it's a busy day.
- cerave pm moisturizer: amazing and can't rave enough about it
- glycolic acid: use this when my skin starts getting dull or i'm getting little breakouts
- adapalene: 2-3 times a week at night
- kiehls rare earth clay mask: 1-2 a month when i wanna do some pampering

1. cleanse
2. apply actives (adapalene or glycolic)
