YouTube Rewind 2019

After last years Rewind got destroyed and became the most disliked video in YouTube history, YouTube just dropped today this years Rewind... Which is basically several WatchMojo Top 10 lists in one video.

For those who would like to see the mess on their own:

Honestly, the only entertaining part about this is watching how many dislikes it gets and reading the comments.

I'm torn. They mentioned pewdiepiew this year like I wanted, but not his minecraft series... And the video itself is kind of terrible.

The fact that they used this awful, awful song.. just that made me give a dislike.
The rest of the video was ****, but nothing else expected from YouTube, lol.

Also I wouldn't really say that Kurzgesagt is really a german Channel, as everything is in english.

like jeez is it not obvious nobody cares about them??? maybe they should do something original instead of literally copying clips from famous videos. im not disappointed tho because it's YouTube and I never have high hopes for rewinds

Well... am I the only one here who kinda enjoyed it? Like I was happy to see some french peeps in there, such as Squeezie in the very beginning and aya Nakamura. Also I'm so happy kurzgesagt was in there! I love thise channel so much.
There was a lot of people I didn't know and things I disliked, such as seeing For-... Fortn-... ew, can't even say it, or B*S, but hey, to each their own I guess. Overrall I don't think it was as terrible as the previous rewind, and it actually looks like an actual decent rewind.
I didn't hate it, I didn't love it, it was cool though!

To be honest, last years was better because people could make parodies of it. This year they just copied and pasted videoclips with a background music. Kind of disappointed, because I like original content, and it feels like they did not spend much time putting it together or being creative. They should of had all the people in the clips come and create an original rewind with them.

Not gonna lie, I watched this one and thought they finally learned how to make videos. Than I relized I was on the wrong video and watched the real one. Story short, they got another dislike...

Ever since YouTube was sold, it just hasn?t been the company it used to be. I know that?s to be expected but when a company sells, it?s to my understanding that it usually, I don?t know, becomes a better company? YouTube, more like BooTube

Unlike last year which was a very entertaining train wreck all the way through, this one was just boring. I started hitting the right arrow key halfway through because it just wasn't very interesting. I guess they'd rather be forgettable than whatever you could even call 2018, which I can definitely understand.

I'm always very skeptical when a website is sold like Youtube. It seems that either the selling company sees the site is starting to fail and is trying to get rid of it while it still has value, or if it is still a viable site, the buying company will proceed to run it into the ground.

i feel like they didn't even try this video, they could have improved on last year and made it good again but instead it feels like they just gave up. Its a shame cos the fun in watching the previous years was to see which creators made it in and what social events and memes made it. i dont know who this years rewind was aimed at but i personally dont care about the top dance and makeup videos.

To be fair, one of the main complaints I was seeing last year was that YouTube was disconnected from it's audience and not showing things people actually care about. By doing a fact-based video like this, you can't really make that claim since they are literally showing receipts of what people watched.

Was it boring? Yes, I miss all the original content and creative ways that YouTube would link videos together from the 2013-2015 Rewind era. But it was an authentic rewind

I mean while it is their fault for not knowing how to make quality videos, there's also another big issue. YouTube's content has been on a steady decline for good long while. When your top YouTubers are fornite let's players, you know there's a problemo

I get it, cause 2018 youtube rewind, they assumed that we hated cringy stuff. so the best way to be safe is watchmojo style.
also the comment section is just copy and paste what youtube said. no sort of good conversations.
