Youtuber Etika missing

I'm just seeing headlines of Etika going missing, among other things. He has appeared increasingly agitated lately. Is anyone else following this?

He is known for playing games on stream, reacting to random videos, and E3 presentations. I think he started off doing pokemon stuff. He did delete his youtube channel, then a video surfaced somewhere, of him having a bit of a rant. That was a few months ago.

Just found the last video he made on his phone, and news reports of a body in a river, with people speculating its him. Yikes.

He was one of the least cringey to do that sort of content.

if you asked me who etika was before all this mess, i'd know who he was. but i was recently keeping tabs on him because of his breakdown that he had in april.
it really hurts because his family and friends really did everything they could.

Are you kidding me I absolutely hated his content. Personally I'm the opposite, the cringe was on another level for me when I see any of his videos.

Regardless I'm very sorry about what happened this is terrible news. We've known that he had suicidal thoughts for a while know and I suppose the help he got wasn't enough.

This whole thing with him has just made me really saddened, it's a shame that this had to happen. I really enjoyed his content, to me he was one of those personalities that just can't be replaced by anyone else, and it's very tough to see him so. His memory will live on well past himself, and keeping his memory alive is all we can do for him now. This whole situation just seems surreal. Rest well Etika, thank you for the memories you gave us, we'll never forget you man.

Just looked up "Etika swatted". That may have been a mental health check. I've may have lived by a couple of bipolar people. He didn't want help.

aside from that - i did not watch etika religiously, but when i did watch him he made me laugh and brought a little cheer to my day. he was a troubled guy and he deserved much better.

I saw a post on instagram where a dude is trying to use an oujia board to summon his ghost or something like that. For obvious reasons, Youtube demonitized it. The post was like: "why did you delete his channel and demonitized my video."

Did you really mean that? I sure hope not. A man died, no matter who they may be, or what they’ve done, it’s still a tradegy. Death is never the answer, not even for the worst of the worst. (Not saying he is, but referring to felons and people who have committed crimes) This is truly a sad time not only for his family but for people who watched his videos and enjoyed his content. I never really watched his videos, but it’s still so saddening to hear that he passed away. When anyone dies, it’s sad.
