Zack And Wiki - TOMORROW!

On second thought, I'm waiting for Xmas to get Zack and Wiki. Amazon will still have it. So, add me to the campaign, just slightly...delayed
As long as your gettin' PW3, it's all good.

:p

Yeah..I'll pick up Zack and Wiki as soon as I get the chance to like, y'know, leave the house.

This game looks boring... ugh, point and click, point and click, point and click... There's no way I'm getting this game.

Is it really a point-and-click game? I don't know a whole lot about it...

But if it is... DDDD:

(BTW Ultra, wecome to green-name-land.)

Holy shiz, RANK.... UP! </bad RPG leveling up announcer voice>

Yeah, it's a point-and-click.

Ohhh, it's like the OPPOSITE of boring. Yes, it's point and click, but radically different from the ones on PC. The PC ones don't have any exact movements. This is the first game on Wii that couldn't have been done on any other console. There are 80 unique objects to manipulate... along with 500 items.

Plus, the puzzles are some of the most refreshing in a DECADE.

I'd rather pop in the Pajama Sam games I still have from when I was a kid and play that.

Seriously, just because you can turn the Wiimote to solve a puzzle doesn't make it 'refreshing'.

That's the thing. It's not about turning the Wiimote anymore. This is why it's so different... these actions are different than what you see in any Wii game. Don't expect to find any of this info in previews or videos... Capcom has specifically asked the media not to spoil anything other than the first 20 minutes of the game.

Edit - The Wii Remote feels everything in 3D space, but most games have been about waggle thus far. Zack and Wiki is different

Wait, so it's just a generic point-and-click? Seriously, Nintendo, get me some games that ACTUALLY back up the Wii, and maybe I won't go the path of the 360.

...Wait, who said it was a generic point and click? I just said the opposite; it uses the Wii remote like no other developer before it.

Hear me out. Developers for Wii games are spending too much time with the innovativeness of the Wiimote, and not enough with the game. These type of games aren't the ones that will keep me playing over and over.

Seriously, I haven't touched a Wii game in almost a MONTH. MP3 was great fun, but I can't pick it up anymore.

That's the thing with Zack and Wiki. Capcom focused on EVERYTHING equally, not making the experience artificial, but implementing the Wiimote perfectly into the game. The presentation and graphics are very fluid and some of the best on Wii, and as I said, the puzzles have already been hailed as some of the best in a decade.

Again, new /= good.

Example, Vista, check and mate.
We already know it's good. Have you read the reviews?
Yeah, I have, this is from reviewers who thought that Twilight Princess was good.
All reviewers thought Twilight Princess was good. So that means you're not listening to ANY reviewers... right?

Game Informer gave this game an 8.5, Gamespot gave it an 8.5, IGN gave it a 9.0, Nintendo Power (the revamped one, so guess what, they're not biased any more because of the new publisher) gave it a 9.0, and Famitsu gave it a total of 8.25 (rounding the four review scores).

I think that's good enough, to say the least.

Look, I really don't want to argue. To keep this short, I'm not getting this game, and nothing will ever compel me to.

By the way (sorry if this a double post),

The same way the PS3 does this with graphics, the controls on the Wii create an obligation to the developers to come up with innovative control schemes, putting production time way farther back (eg. Twilight Princess, Brawl) and all the games that are done on time, have bad control schemes and therefore aren't good.

Yes, but notice the games on Wii that have not used the Wii remote... Fire Emblem, anyone? It's already been hailed as the best FE to date, with no Wii controller usage... this game was created by a second party of Nintendo. So no, I don't think developers are obligated to create games with the Wiimote, though I see where you're coming from.

But listen, Zack and Wiki was only delayed a month (original release date was in September, I think), and the controls are called some of the best on Wii.
