I don't know why you joined on Saturday, but I know why I joined on Sep 9: it's because it's the 6th anniversary I joined Freewebs, and it was a Tuesday. I was planning on joining for a while, but I saved it for September 9th.
It's pretty interesting that we joined in the same month of the same year, but only three days apart.

Thing is, I'm an idiot and probably would reserve you one if I were attracted to you and had a decent amount of money to boot.
But I'd recommend ordering from an EU source if that does happen though, I believe Amiibo's aren't region locked.
I plan to very soon, it'll probably not sell as much in EU since Earthbound never had a EU release till the Wii U VC version of it.
However my Brother was just lucky enough to pre-order the Majora's Mask New 3DS before it sold out on the EU Nintendo store.
