I was starting to lose motivation because my brain automatically goes into "make town pretty mode" but after a few trees died I'm getting back into it again! I've been able to play every day so far but keeping up with updating my blog is hard... that might have been too ambitious now that I think about it I can't wait to see your town! From what you've posted on the thread your path patterns and shirt designs look so awesome. What's your new character going to be?

That's understandable. Most of my animal crossing characters have just one or two traits, they haven't really been given any depth.

Shax is mysterious in the same way that Arlon is, but Shax is a little more... off-putting? Whereas Arlon has an "I like to be alone" aura about him and is generally more reserved and lax, Shax is more menacing. He's an okay person, but has lots of Bad Dude vibes. Dour is more similar to Arlon, but is more untidy. His hair is messy, he doesn't put any thought into his clothing, and rarely wears shoes. Which is perfect considering the sort of town he governed. And I just noticed that I characterize the town first, and then make a character that will fit into that town lol.

Shax is much older than Arlon or Dour, and was the mayor of two of my previous towns. I got a soft spot in my heart for him, even though I'm not really sure what I want to do with his character. Dour was the mayor of the town before Memento. It was a cycling town called Tatters (because it was also supposed to look disheveled), but I never did anything with it.

I make around the same as you do. Two trips takes about an hour, but since I'm trying to drop the leaves on my perfect fruit trees, I make about 40K off them every three days. I consider myself lucky because Arlon's is the only house I'm going to have, and it's almost done. I thought about adding Shax and/or Dour (two previous characters of mine), but I don't want to complicate things.

I've been to the island six times in the past two days. I calculated the average amount of bells I get during a trip to the island, and I've concluded that I still need to go to the island eight more times to finish paying off the rest of the expansions. I want to hurry up and finish the rooms, but I think I can only manage going to the island twice in a day. Also, that doesn't include the bells I need for the rest of the street lamps (of which I'll probably just be building three or four more).

You could always try exchanging BTB for IGB, but good luck finding someone reliable enough to trade with. I also have to thank Piezahummy for getting me a lot of the items I needed, but he charges BTB too. If the list is really long like mine was it won't be cheap. Gotta learn how to budget lol. You need to ask yourself if you wanna spend BTB on IGB or items for your town.

Haha yeah, I had Cyrus change it to black. I think I prefer the ambiguity. I'm actually going to expand all the rooms, just to play it safe. I've also got a bunch of stuff that I need to put in the basement, since it's going to be Arlon's little work area.

Thank you! There was supposed to be a third one but since I saved before 6AM it looks unbuilt. Which is probably fine because Lloid is a gyroid too lol. I agree summer looks great, but I want the town to feel a little chilly. When I lay out clothes for dreamers in the future they'll make more sense (The clothes are going to be a surprise! ). I'm really happy with the street lamps, they look so neat in the early morning. They give off a soft glow which I like.

And of course I'm interested! I'll read it now and post my thoughts.
