I can't say I have a favorite character type though. off the top of my head, my fave chars ever are Seto Kaiba (YGO!), Kirigiri (Danganronpa), Elliot Nightray (Pandora Hearts), Satsuki (Kill la Kill), and Tanaka. they have nothing in common, lol
