  • Hey, you say you didn't need any BTB for the visits, would you like any items for your town? I can give you some hybrids, bush starts or mushrooms as thanks c:
Fantastic! Adding you now. I'll open my gates once I have you added, and we'll have to wait till everyone's here.
l wish i can but i can't make qr clothing ,i was just saying my out fit was very zombie lunch clothing XD
And well one of the directors behind that documentary we saw (I think the title could be translated to "Birth of a nation" or something, idek if it has an official English release/title) and I think he mentioned the music briefly when he was a guest at that lecture as well.
Yeah, at least the case with Luís Cília.. we saw a Swedish documentary in class about the liberation struggle in Guinea-Bissau (and to an extent Cabo Verde) in class during my last film studies class I took some months ago, and that "Canto do desertor" was in it (sequences from the film, including that with the song) is also used in Concerning Violence(a compilation documentary by Göran Hugo Olsson from 2014 if you want to watch it) and that song got me hooked kind of immediately so of course I had to browse around for that and his other works.. I later started listening to other stuff like Zeca Afonso, Sérgio Godinho and other "música de intervenção" artist from the time..

Have fun and let me know if you need more :p
Also regarding that song you found on youtube, the song was actually on his first LP "Portugal-Angola: Chants de Lutte" and done in France where he lived in exile for around 10+ years. "Meu País" is actually a reissue of the same album, it's probably one of his more easier things to find, I have it as well ^^
Apologies, I believe I didn't add you in time so your gates aren't showing up for me D: Do you mind reopening? Sorry! I'll be coming as Rylu from Roseport.
Thank you! I sent all the TBT I owe you, right? c: Let me know when your gates are open!
Hi sorry I just saw this. I am still looking for Cole, but if he's already been voided that's fine. I can keep looking. :)
I mostly listen to stuff like Giant Step(Indonesia), Wigwam(Finland) and then some random more western things like Grateful Dead, Deep Purple(their earlier things), some random Japanese things like Flower Travellin' Band. that stuff... they are probably a mix of both psych and prog at time though

mostly into those Portuguese things like Luís Cília, Sérgio Godinho, José Mário Branco, Fausto, Zeca Afonso and those folk/rock protest singers now though..
Hm which song did you listen to? But yeah he's mostly denouncing the fascist "Estado Novo" regime that was in Portugal from the 1920s to 1974 and Portugal's colonial war in Africa in 60s and 70s

Ah yeah I see I mostly listen to 60s/70s folk and protest stuff and some psych/prog as well :3
Luis Cilia, Wigwam(finnish prog/psych from the 70s) and some v/a from cabo verde(like... protest songs from the 70s)

lel that's so cool im pretty 'lone with my music geekery around here lol
