  • Aw well don't worry about it. I don't think I have the heart to want to switch a villager out for her right now. My villagers are pretty solid.
    hopefully once you finally finish plot resetting him you'll actually be able to enjoy the town. I ran into that problem in my main town and kind of had to force myself to change how I wanted the layout of the town and ended up moving out a bunch of villagers. but it's definitely good you have more than one town, because it can really become a chore if all of your towns are TOO planned out.
    Hi! Its not creepy at all lol I'm flattered! I reset two weeks for Dotty once too (THAT was hell.) Since a new villager is set to plot, no other villagers have ever moved while I plot reset. I also check before I begin that no one is planning to move. Each day a roped off plot shows up. It does not matter how much time has passed since you adopted the villager, because you have not started up the game, it will only be a plot each time! If you have any more questions feel free to ask :D
    well that's good. it kinda gives a bit more hope to the situation, because if you had been going for four days straight and he still hadn't plotted in the right spot...ugh, I'd go insane. you have so much more patience than I do! I've only had one time where I've tried to put a villager in one specific space and i gave up pretty quickly. I just hope it's something they fix in the next game, to save us all from going through this again.
    I don't blame you, I'd be just as paranoid if I were you. I just hope he plots in that spot you want him in, because four/five days is absolute madness!
    you're welcome, I'm happy to help c: let me know if she does have an answer for you, and if not I'll keep digging ;v;
    i'm not sure either -- a lot of the people i've looked at so far are inactive ;-; i'm trying to remember if someone can move when there's a new plot in town, but i seriously cannot think of whether or not they can. i'll see if i can find one of those plot resetting threads where someone's talked about resetting for weeks and maybe they'll have an answer for you.
    oh jeez. i've had that happen a few times to me as well, a perfect spot that they absolutely refuse to plot in. i honestly don't know what i'd do in your situation, other than just keep pushing. do you follow any acnl blogs on tumblr that you may be able to ask? i know there's a few plot resetting guides on tumblr as well, so maybe one of the authors of one of those might know?
    are there any other possible spots you could settle for, maybe? or are all the villagers aligned in a certain way? maybe there's some kind of issue with the spot you chose for him, like it's too close to something even though it doesn't appear to be...?
    I did some research and couldn't find much, but everything I did find basically said until you save, the game doesn't realize time has passed. so I'm hoping that you're safe, and that when you do finish plot resetting and load your mayor, maybe you'll just get a ping from someone. I wish I had more experience plot resetting over long periods of time, but I always either settle or give up once I hit over a day or two.
    not a bother at all :) as far as i know, no. i THINK (but don't hold me to this, as i've never spent more than two days plot resetting) that the game won't even acknowledge a day has passed until you save. since you haven't saved all this time, i'm fairly certain you're safe even if his house has started showing up rather than a roped off plot. my only other idea is to go into your DS clock settings rather than your in-game clock and wind that back to the day you adopted him from me. since the game hasn't saved since then, it should also trick the game into thinking no time has passed. unfortunately that's all i can suggest, but i've heard of people plot resetting for weeks, so one of these has to work. i'd recommend winding back to the DS clock regardless just to be as safe as possible. good luck, i really hope it works!
