I read it, Val. I'm really, sincerely sorry. I know how it is like, 'cause situation of my boy was like that, and I and Mao had always been scared of it to recur for whole 2 years. Even now, we have to keep being attentive of the sign of recurrence after 4th times of surgery finally looks like working - at least for now.
Because animals don't understand the situation... and we can't explain it for them... But, if we focus on positive side, we could say the case is better that it wasn't on the parts that's hard to check daily, such as between the legs etc. I wish you & Justin/Nico the best from all my heart. *sends you the tight hug*

Oh, now I see. I haven't had mouse so I didn't know that. I used to have 2 cats who grew together with each other like siblings, and there was a time that we had familiar situation like yours. To cats, it seemed like how the relationship changes depends on their personality. I'm sorry for laughing; thinking it silly & cute;;

I know I shouldn't be laughing but,

So sad that he had to go through that. ;_; Because being an animal... he wouldn't have gotten why it hurt... and wouldn't get why the wound of surgery hurts now... Also I know how it'd make you worried. My baby boy ( cat ) got a disease couple years ago, which made him get surgery even 4 times, and had us ( I and Mao ) use all ( literally all ) of time we had for doing things that was needed for him. We managed to go through it for over 2 years, and now my boy has been doing pretty good fortunately. Wishing you and your adored mouse the best.
You must take good care of yourself too Val! even when worrying!
