ALSO, Nintendo changed the SD card to one of those pesky micro SD cards. So, if you wish to transfer photos to your PC/Mac, then I do recommend getting a micro sd reader. I can't stand the micro sds, they're so small that I'm scared I'll lose it.

The long hours of playing don't help the headaches either, and probably partially contribute towards the pain. I'm not sure, but I would imagine so. Apparently, the new line of DS consoles do not have a wireless switch, which was something new to me after I purchased it. I got mine off eBay for a lot cheaper. I don't like to spend a lot of money on tech, I'd rather spend it on other things. The screen size of the 2Ds Xl is gigantically larger than my original 3ds. Really enjoyable playing in the dark with the big screen in my face. There's more space for the keyboard too. I always created typos with the other 3Ds.

Love it, only draw back is no wireless switch on the side. I'd definitely invest in one if it's going to be a major upgrade (eg. if you have the older 3ds versions) I went with the 2ds mostly because it was massively cheaper, and as you said, I rarely use the 3D either. If anything, it always gave me headache.
