Some of my favorites, I won't follow your rules, I cannot be restricted to just 10.

Pokemon (Pretty much all Pokemon, but especially Hey you Pikachu, Pokemon Snap, Gold, HeartGold/SoulSilver, Ultra Sun/Moon, Pokemon Stadium 1&2 mini games, Pokemon Puzzle League. Working on my shiny living dex in Home. I'm the Pokemaniac Mom warned you about.)

Silent Hill 2 (the first time my friend brought SH2 over, I played through the whole game, and she and my sister stayed up to watch me play it. I'm so excited for the remake!!)

Resident Evil 4 (Beat this game so many times and unlocked all the infinite guns and rocket launcher. I'm so excited for the remake!!!x 2)

Animal Crossing NL/NH (Obvs I'm obsessed, have complete catalogs and multiple characters in each game, v proud of my town and island)

Psychonauts 1 & 2 (I backed the second game on Kickstarter! Psychonauts is amazing. So many struggle with mental health, would be great if I could hire someone to pop into my brain and stort some things out, better than therapy!)

Spyro 1-3 (some of my fav childhood games, very colorful and great voice acting, still holds up. Reignited is good, but nothing beats the classics)

Bioshock 1& 2 (I loooooved both of these games in highschool and everytime I replay them I'm shook how well they hold up, both are amazing and 2 is an underrated masterpiece. Infinite is a fine game but a shadow of the game I pre-ordered and honestly a disappointment overall. )

Fallout 3 (it's super fun, has a neat aesthetic and let's you do what you want. What more could you want?)

Final Fantasy 7 & 9 (especially 9, loved these growing up and were my introduction to Jrpgs, they're popular for a reason, I also liked Legend of Dragoon a lot.

Mario (I've played lots of mainline Mario games but I really love the 1st and 3rd on the NES. Of the 3d games, I like Galaxy, and Odyssey the best. I want to like Sunshine but the game is so painful to play)

I can think of so many more though. Different games have been there for me in various parts of my life, I love how a video game can immerse you into different fantastic worlds. I'm a gamer through and through, and proud of it.

Honorable mentions: off the top of my head Prince of Persia:Sands of Time, Eternal Eyes, Atelier Iris:Eternal Mana, Kirby 64, Dead Rising, Catherine, Persona 4, & 5, Red Dead Redemption, Kingdom Hearts 1&2, Naruto Clash of Ninja 2, Katamari Damacy, Cooking Mama, Smash bros Brawl, Twilight Princess, Zelda NES, Zelda Minish Cap, Zelda BOTW, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, FNAF, Undertale, A Bug's Life PS1, Atlantis PS1, Pajama Sam: No need to hide when it's dark outside, Resident Evil 7 & 8, Oblivion, Skyrim, Galiga and lots more lol

Yakuza 0
Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne
Pokémon Black/White
Bioshock
Red Dead Redemption 2
Control
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Witcher 3
Ys VIII

I tend to prefer open worlds or JRPGS. I like freedom of exploration and fast combat.

1. Super Mario World
2. Kingdom Hearts 2
3. Pokemon Platinum
4. GTA San Andreas
5. Watch Dogs
6. Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars
7. Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door
8. Goldeneye 007 N64
9. Animal Crossing New Horizons
10. Super Mario 64

1. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
2. Story of Seasons (3DS)
3. Mario Odyssey
4. Pokemon Legends: Arceus
5. Fantasy Life (3DS)
6. Kirby and the forgotten land
7. Disney Dreamlight Valley
8. Spyro: Reignited Trilogy
9. Splatoon 3
10. Mario Kart 8 deluxe

Here are some of the ones that I like personally.

1. Spyro Trilogy (PS1)
These were my life. My mom got me a PS1 instead of a PS2 and got me all 3 Spyro games because they were on sale. I bought the Reignited Trilogy but its just not the same for some reason.

2. Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
I was first unsure if I wanted to buy this game. I got it on promotion and its been one of my all time favourites. I replayed the entire game for about 4 times and plan on playing it again when TotK is near coming out.

3. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
My first ES game and probably the last if the next one doesn't come out. I love the open world sandbox feel of it so its really enjoyable to play. My Dragonborn character has changed several times and because of that I still haven't totally completed the main story.

4. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
My first time playing this was such a wonderful experience. I grabbed it immediately when it came to the 3DS. Its the only physical 3DS game I have left.

5. Pokemon Black 2 / White 2
Its surprising to me that a Pokemon game is so far down the list but its been awhile since a good one has come out since B2W2. It felt like a good sequel to the BW games and had a lot of various things to do like the PWT, Pokestar Studios and other things.

6. AC: New Horizons
My second AC came. I like the designing aspect of this game even though I miss the town or city feel of NL. The positive things in this game outweigh a lot of negatives and I hope the next one will be even better.

7. Pokemon Heartgold
I chose HeartGold because I knew that Kyogre was in it instead of SoulSilver. I spent a lot of hours on it and enjoyed it more than the Sinnoh games

8. Golden Sun / Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Both of these need to be together. I played these two a lot and enjoyed the story. Its a shame they wont remaster it.

9. Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
I chose AS before buying OR because I liked Kyogre more (I still do!) Its also the only "modern" Pokemon game that I like.

10. Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
This was my first Zelda game so it has a lot of good memories. It may not be the best Zelda game objectively but since it was my first I played it a lot.

🌟 1. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
🧩 2. Banjo-Kazooie
⚙️ 3. Fallout: New Vegas
🧠 4. Psychonauts
🦁 5. Final Fantasy VIII
🚀 6. Mass Effect Trilogy
🌏 7. Earthbound
🍃 8. Animal Crossing: New Leaf
🧢 9. Pokemon Series
💥 10. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I struggled for a while thinking about whether or not I should include a specific Pokemon game. I don't really have a definitive favorite, but Pokemon as a franchise is just too important to me to not include.

It's not really a diverse crowd but these would be my top 10.

1. Mario Kart Double Dash
2. Mario Kart 7
3. Dōbutsu no Mori+
4. Animal Crossing New Leaf
5. Animal Crossing New Horizons
6. Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story
7. Super Paper Mario
8. Paper Mario: The Origami King
9. MapleStory
10. Fantasy Life

Extras -
11. Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3

14. Mario Party series

Only 10, eh? Let's see...

Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis): Got me into my first real favorite series

Super Castlevania IV (SNES): What got me into this franchise

Super Metroid (SNES): Pretty much what got me into this franchise and Metroidvanias in general

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES): The game that got me into this franchise

Resident Evil (remake) (Gamecube): Kickstarted my interest in survival horrors

Goldeneye 007 (N64): Competitive multiplayer addiction

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (SNES): My first JRPG

Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars (Master System): THE first video game I ever played, PERIOD!

Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES): I had played Mario games before this but this one cemented my interested in the franchise

Animal Crossing (Gamecube): Need I say more? ;)

I'd have to say:
-Animal Crossing (GC, NL,NH)
-Pokemon (All games o~o)
-Super Smash Bros (Melee, Brawl, Ultimate)
-Sonic The Hedgehog (Genesis)
-Megaman (Original, X, and Zero)
-Fire Emblem (Awakening,Three Houses, Heroes)
-The Legend of Zelda (Ocarina of Time,Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Majora's Mask)
-Paper Mario(Thousand Year Door, Super Paper)
-Luigi's Mansion (Original and 3)
-Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Marvel vs Capcom 2 and 3 (I was 2 when Marvel vs Capcom 2 came out so I didn't play it much but it's nostalgic 💀)
I think those are mine but there's also some Kirby games I've played but just weren't as nostalgic haha. Ohh and Mario Party and Kart are also honorable mentions C:

Ok, I haven't necessarily picked the best games, but I've picked some games from different stages of my life! Also, I've included sixteen games, which is basically ten. 👀 I've put them in a (roughly) chronological timeline, from earliest age to most recent.

🐙 Alex Kidd in Miracle Word - Ok, all of the Alex Kidd games were published before I was born (except the 2021 remake obviously), but I believe this was probably the first video game I ever played. I remember being really young, and I adored the underwater stages especially, particularly fighting the octopi.
🧙‍♀️ Diablo II
⚔️ Fable
🛹 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3/4 (?)
🦖 Neopets - What can I say? They were pretty cute.
🥋 Dead or Alive 4
🧙‍♀️ World of Warcraft - I really loved it for a time, but I wouldn't go back.
🔫 Portal 2 - One of my all time favourite games.
🧙‍♀️ Dragon Age 2 - DA:O and DA:I were also good.
⚔️ Pokémon Sword - I love all Pokémon games I've played, but I played this one the longest.
🐷 Animal Crossing New Horizons - I don't think I've played any other game for more hours.
🏎️ Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - So bad at it, but so fun to play with other people.
💖 Kirby Star Allies, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land - both amazing, so combining them!
🌟 Super Mario Party - Controversial opinion, but I like SMP better than Mario Party Superstars.
🦑 Splatoon 3 - My first Splatoon game!
🧙‍♂️ Miitopia - Just tried it out for the first time last year. Was really fun to make my own Miis in the story.

Hmm, I wonder if I accidentally missed an important game.

Some games in a franchise I enjoy more, but it’s a hard pick overall. So I’ll give my best.

• Animal Crossing: New Leaf
• Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life
• Stardew Valley
• Kingdom Hearts 2
• Paper Mario 64
• Tekken Tag Tournament 2
• Genshin Impact
• Rune Factory 4
• Mario Party 4
• Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance

Its hard to pick 10 games that I would use to describe me or to get to know me more but here are my choices:

+ The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
+ The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask
+ Final Fantasy 10
+ Pokemon Gold
+ Super Mario 64
+ Genshin Impact
+ Tales of Arise
+ Kingdom Hearts
+ Kingdom Hearts 2
+ Animal Crossing New Horizons

This was quite difficult, but here’s my selection of games that shaped who I am in one way or another:

🌍 Animal crossing wild world
🛤 Zelda Spirit tracks
🏔 Zelda botw
🐓 Stardew
🔍 Professor Layton and the curious village
♥️ Undertale
🗡 Deltarune
🍄 New Super Mario Bros
💎 Pokemon Diamond
✝️ Ragnarok Valkyrie Uprising

i haven’t played many video games tbh (i’m very picky as to which ones interest me lol), but these are the 10 games i came up with. i haven’t played the majority of them in a long time, but i still think about them all often to this day, and i feel they’ve had the most impact on me. i had a lot of fun with these games — some of them turned into hyper fixations, some of them made me cry because of how happy playing them made me. they’re all great and special to me in their own way. ♥️

🏝️ animal crossing: new horizons
🍃 animal crossing: new leaf
🌍 animal crossing: wild world
🔪 doki doki literature club
🐮 harvest moon: island of happiness
🤴 mysims kingdom

👻 spooky’s jump scare mansion (formerly spooky’s house of jump scares)

i physically restrained myself from adding moshi monsters to the list, because i had a feeling that wouldn’t have counted, but just know that it’s there in spirit. other games i considered adding were fnaf (specifically the first one and sister location), and the last of us.

My favorite is Slime Rancher

Other games I like, in no particular order:
Stardew Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley
World of Warcraft
Ib
Mermaid Swamp
Animal Crossing New Leaf
To the moon
LEGO Harry Potter Year 1-4 (Best Harry Potter game made, don't add me)

This is a fantastic idea for a thread! Mine would be:

1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
2. Stardew Valley
3. Dragon Age: Origins
4. Pokémon Black
5. Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero
6. Borderlands (first title only)
7. Alice: Madness Returns
8. Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)
9. Animal Crossing: New Leaf
10. Tales of Vesperia
