Love
Lots of diversity
The food is pretty dope
We're pretty free. We can make our own decisions and choose what we're going to do with our lives.
Some places are very beautiful

Hate
The government is having issues
There's pollution, but it's not as bad as some people are making it out to be. It's only really in the huge cities.
The people are a little strange.

Hate-
1: The presidents.

3: We are not the land of the free, please update the national anthem!
4: Healthcare isn't that good (37th in the world).
5: Not safe enough for me.
6: The education system.

Love, this is gonna be hard... -
1: We usually get the Nintendo games/consoles before countries in Europe and Australia/Oceania.
2: We get snow (in some parts)
3: It's not the worst.
4: At least we have more freedom than some other countries... (countries like Russia)
5: I can't think of anything else...

I sadly live in the USA, while a quarter of my family gets to live in Canada, lucky them.

johnny test is canadian. it is a way to get around the contract they have with CN. They have to make 1-2 shows a year. Most are really bad
the only good one was Total Drama Island

Good:

Almost everything about it. This includes how safe we are to tourists, the food, the regions, the parks, and the holidays.

Bad:

Although there are fewer things I hate about this country than what I like, there are a few things I really hate. Those would have to be the liberals and modern liberalism, the crimes, the pollution, and our corrupt government. I could name more, but that's all I could think of at the minute.

I enjoy living in the US, but that's coming from someone who pretty much lives in a cornfield. I don't take the things I have for granted, like clean water, opportunities, education, and my ability to participate and have a say in my community. I don't quite have a say in the national govt yet because I'm still 17, but when I turn 18 I'm gonna exercise my right to vote as often as possible!

I don't like how we the people have let corrupt politicians take over our government. We say that something needs to be done, but who's going to do it? For instance, many people are afraid to have either Trump or Clinton as president, so they shouldn't have to choose between the two. Granted, Johnson and Stein are available, too, but they're not as well known as the two top-running candidates. The people should have the right to say that these two runners are unfit and should not run at all.

Oh, and another thing. Criminals should not be allowed to run for president. Just saying.

Other than that, I love my country. I'm not going to sit here and complain about it because that's just wasting time and space. If there's something wrong, then it's our duty to make it right.

I hate that the media obsesses over everything, especially politics. OHH OHHH DONALD TRUMP IS A REPUBLICAN NOW BUT USED TO BE A DEMOCRAT OHHHH OHHHHH THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's another thing I hate. You can't even trust the media. All they ever do is lie.

Luckily I can usually point out a liar. I don't ever believe anything the media puts out unless it has a credible source.

Love:
Canadian exceptionalism! We're (pretty) multicultural and have a culture of accepting immigrants. We don't have any populist candidates or parties here so we can focus on policy rather than rhetoric. It's definitely not as divisive as in the United States.

It's not perfect, but we have universal health care!

University/college isn't too expensive here. It's much more reasonable than say, the US, and post-secondary options are great here.

Stringent gun control laws means we're pretty safe here.

People are generally quite nice here and the scenery is beautiful.

Hate:
How much the politics of other nations (pointedly stares at the United States) affects our country. A lot of people are scared about what will happen if Trump is elected, mostly because it means that he will rip up NAFTA, which helps Canada tremendously as a country which relies on exporting our goods to others and keeps prices here cheap. Whoever is in power next will heavily dictate the next four years for us, which I really hate.

Everything is more expensive here. Shipping is never free.

Just because things are pretty good here doesn't mean things can't be improved. I feel like people have the perception that since things are fine, we can just move on, but there are still issues left to be addressed. For example, we don't have any laws prohibiting or allowing abortion because our previous government really didn't want to talk about it. Maybe we should talk about it?

Some parts of the country are rreeeaaaallllyyyyy cold. And everything is even more expensive.

Even though we are literally right above the US we don't get access to the same stuff online - I'm looking at you, Netflix. Seriously. We're a border away. Why can't we have the same Netflix?

Like:
1. Diversity. I think it's because I live in California though, I have some friends who barely ever come across ethnic people haha.
2. Gorgeous, varied places.
3. Better off than quite a few countries in terms of standard of living and law.
4. EAGLE SCREE DEMOCRACY
5. uhh

Dislike:
1. A lack of good usage of that diversity. Progams and colleges are trying, but the general population's mindset is a bit iffy. Like, the KKK is still running around somehow. wild.
2. Awful history
3. Stagnated government
4. Being born elsewhere, the weird bred-in patriotism and nationalism, especially of the older generation. The overractions when people exercise their right to not pledge, for instance. To be fair, many other countries (esp the ones nearer to the dictatorship spectrum are more extreme on this. though that says a lot about it)
5. The entire basis of the "american-dream-self-made-man" ethic is definitely a myth. Very rarely possible, but it's funny how an entire country is built on it and yet an extremely small percentage makes it. capitalism ho (though I'm okay with capitalism surprisingly, it's the false pretense that weirds me out)
extra: 6. lack of attention to education and the environment

As a whole there a some nice places to visit, Wales has some beautiful countryside but I live about 3 hours away so don't get to go there as often as I'd like. The people are generally friendly, depends what area you go to like anywhere I guess.
Also like the fact we're quite a small place. Quite lucky with where we are really as we don't really get very extreme weather conditions or storms or anything

<3
1. Free healthcare
2. Free education
3. Gender equality
4. Lgbt+ friendly
5. One of the safest countries in the world
6. Low poverty rate
7. SNOW!
8. Freedom to roam
9. ZLATAN!

</3
1. Rasism and nationalism
2. Short summers (if any)
3. "Lagom"

There's alot more things I could list but i suppose this'll do. I'd say that Sweden is a pretty good country to live in all things considered.

I want to live in Sweden or Denmark. ;;

Maybe someday, I was looking up on the safest places to live Denmark is always mentioned along with Finland, I haven't seen any mention of Sweden...But that doesn't mean anything.

I love cold, snowy places Norway, Sweden and Finland all match up to those along with Denmark.

I love Danish food! I don't mind Danish accents at all! I love ABBA!

What's not to like?

Iceland is number 1? What?
It seems as though tundra and cold countries are safe.

Well, while it is true that the other Scandinavian countries rank higher when it comes to safety, Sweden is still a very safe place to live (think it was in the top 25 or something).

One thing that I forgot to mention is the Swedish cuisine. I'm not fond of it at all. But luckily you don't have to limit yourself to it.

I've got an old VHS-tape with all of ABBA's music videos. \m/
