ok so i've sent this dude a ton of letters, i talk to him constantly, i give him perfect fruit when he's hungry and i've fulfilled his request for a damn coelacanth and he gives me a treadmill in return? i mean, that's some a+ trolling but enough is enough! what more do i have to do for you, rolf?! all i want is your picture, is that really too much to ask??? send help egfhifoyijm

I'm having the same issue with Beardo. We're best mates. He gets a letter once every two days. I do all his requests. No picture.

Ruby on the other hand can't stop giving me her picture!! I've had it three times already.

My Rolf loved me, he was actually my fave villager friend in town, (besides my boyfriend Julian) he would come and visit me at my house all the time and I got his picture and I would even say no to some of his ridiculous requests. Like oh yeah you need that rare AF bug for you niece? then why is it in your house you liar! But still he was my fave and my best friend he was like my lil grandpa friend who hated everyone but me ^u^

Ah, Rolf. That tiger also pissed me off for leaving all of a sudden when I haven't played for 2 days and he barely shows himself in my old town. He only gave me one picture during his run and he stayed for like 7 months. It would take a lot of months to have his pic. I dunno, I have trouble getting pics from cranky villagers in general because they're so hard to please.

It took almost two years for Tangy to give me her pic.I get the most pics from giving non-native perfect fruit and doing the "bring a random villager to my house within one hour" request.I'm not sure why that is.I rarely send letters to my villagers but I still have received a good amount of pics.

I have the exact same thing with Lolly! She's been in my town since day 1, I go over and above everything she asks for (her room is now a hideous mix of fish and customised furniture), and in that time I've gotten at least three pictures each from Tammy, Kabuki, Felicity and Cube. Why don't you love meeeeee ;;

Why are you so obsessed with getting his picture? I've played AC for over 6 years now and I didn't get a picture until last week, when Amelia moved away. I never really bothered, and I won't talk to my villagers just to get their picture - it would bore me way too much. If you expect a picture, you won't get it - but when you don't pay attention to it, you'll suddenly get pictures all the time (not really, but it does reward more to get it suddenly).
May I ask why you are so focused on getting Rolf's picture, especially if you don't like him (which seems like it)?

I never really bothered, and I won't talk to my villagers just to get their picture - it would bore me way too much. If you expect a picture, you won't get it - but when you don't pay attention to it, you'll suddenly get pictures all the time (not really, but it does reward more to get it suddenly).
May I ask why you are so focused on getting Rolf's picture, especially if you don't like him (which seems like it)?

Oh my gosh cranky villagers in general just hate me. I've had chief for almost a year and the only reason I have his picture at all is because of April 1st. The cranky villagers are just so hard to please </3

Avery also gave my his picture cause he loves me too, but I don't love him back. I only loved Rolf. And now he's in the void because I reset. I will cry many salty tears for Rolf.

I find Crankies one of the easiest villagers to get pictures from...

For instance, I have 7 pictures:

Of those 1 is Jingle, 3 are from villagers who moved away (none of which were cranky), that leaves 3 pics, one was given to me by Bam (a jock) for fulfilling a request and then the other two were from Lobo and Cyrano (both crankies) for fulfilling their requests.

I find giving them something 'new' for their room helps because that's when all three of them gave me their pictures. I used to send letters daily but now my villagers rarely get them.

You can also try to look up the best presents for them, usually every character likes one style and one color, and if you find them something in that style and color they'll really really love it, there are tons of guides online of items they'll want. I always check for birthday gifts this way and make sure their birthday gift is exceptional, but I usually just try to make their random items they ask for either the color or style, but not usually both.

I get a chuckle out of the villagers who pull off stunts like that. Like when they ask you to deliver an item to another villager and she/he is standing right beside you! I'm like "Ummm, he's RIGHT here you lazy bloke are you blind?!"
