2nd players moving on island experience?

Sharing a island What is the experience as a second character living on the island(other than island representative)? Has anyone made one? Wondering if you would unlock things faster/have a faster tutorial or even get a ladder and a pole so you could live on a cliff

Same as second characters in New Leaf really. I doubt anything unlocks faster, and tutorial is usually longer because there are more villagers to introduce yourself to. Plus, there is probably a different tutorial entirely for other players compared to the Representative.

I doubt they get special treatment, like free poles and ladders at start.

It could be faster cause you don't have to plot buildings or go though the island representative stuff and some other utilities are already available. Maybe any chance that we could “find” a pole and ladder on the floor? That was what i was thinking..
