30 hours of work for Raymond finally paid off

Cheating is cheating regardless of there being a competitive angle or not. If that makes people feel bad, then don't cheat...? Especially when they do stuff like that and TT then come posting on forums like this. It makes others feel bad and become anxious that they are somehow "behind" when in reality, the other people just have unrealistic amounts of resources available to them due to circumventing standard game mechanics and intended flow. Especially when trading/auctions are a supported meta of this site and the people that aren't doing shady things have no legitimate means for competing in bids in those circumstances then.

The game has been out for about 2 weeks and 1550NMT is 3.1 *million* points. I don't care how much of a powergamer you are, there is no physical way to earn that many tickets legitimately in that time period.

So yes, I am happy they finally got the villager they were looking for, since they clearly mean a lot to them, but that doesn't mean you need to overlook other factors that may have been involved.
Would you like to take a purity test?
Lines are blurred when it comes down to profiting in real life vs in game currency.

For example: I have 3 switches/3 islands and own a ton of amiibo cards. Are you going to say I have a leg up because I can give myself multiple nook miles by donating to myself? I paid real life money for games/consoles. Should I feel bad? Try to challenge that or anyone.

Furthermore, historically, Raymond will be adopted via lottery. If you know anything about this game, that is how it works. After a period of time when people stop playing or are burnt out "dreamies" become more irrelevant or less expensive. I know for a fact some people frown upon buying villagers. In the previous game, I had the luxury of having multiple cycle towns and could care less about in game currency or advantages so I gave away "dreamies" and I intend to the same in this game when I have my main island all set.

Bottom line- Do what you want. I personally don't want to hear people calling out cheating. If you think something is up and it bothers people so much pm the mods and don't invoke purity tests.
