A dad needs help moving an island

Hi, looking for a little help for my daughter(A). She started playing AC:NH on her sisters(B) switch. Her sister no longer plays the game. Is there a way for daughter A to take over the island and become mayor without starting form scratch? ANY help is appreciated.

Hey there, you can transfer the island to a new switch, follow this guide.

If for some reason the save data transfers both daughters' villagers, I believe removing/deleting Daughter B's villager from the game will allow Daughter A to assume the position. May need correction on this.
