I mean yeah I can update this as certain items become legal. Would remove them from the spoiler as they roll out on the official dates.
I check out a few discords for specific hack item info, like whats actually obtainable and what's full on illegal. I can make a complete list of 100% illegal items as well but I would have to do allot of editing format wise and make it look a bit more nice ^-^

I kinda gave up on telling people certain diy cards are 100% hacked long ago (frozen set diys, trash diys, etc), especially as the staff don't much even seem to care. but it'd still be nice to have all that info handy for anyone

(unless you also mean something like the shop walls/floors in new leaf, that "existed" in the game files, but not as normally obtainable items)

You also can't time travel back to 2020 Bunny Day. It's a bit of a gray area because people could still have large stashes of eggs but I would be suspicious if someone looks like they have an unlimited supply of eggs and bunny day diys

Hihi! I'm just jumping in to clarify that frozen set DIYs actually are legal!
After a similar "trading illegal items" incident on Nookazon in December, some of us on TBT found out how to obtain cards of the Frozen DIY set! It's a pretty obscure and situational method, so I completely understand being skeptic about the Frozen/Snowboy cards

(Unless a Garbodor from Pokemon sends out the DIYs, I doubt the trash ones are legit XD)

I don't doubt that some frozen DIYs out there are hacked, but at least it's not impossible to receive card copies.
I'm glad there's an alternate method for a set as large as that!
I tried to keep it up in December and help out people who were struggling with perfect Snowboys, but ended up really busy IRL at the time, and constantly making and deleting characters was taking the majority of my few moments of playtime

Not sure if the fact I've already hit five stars before has anything to do with it...but eh..whatever.

Honestly, the golden watering can is the easiest golden DIY recipe to earn, so IMO I'm not sure why someone would go through the effort of bothering with a hacked card when they can toss a bunch of furniture around the island and call it a day

I don't doubt that some frozen DIYs out there are hacked, but at least it's not impossible to receive card copies.
I'm glad there's an alternate method for a set as large as that!

Actually on nookazon quite a few of the popular traders do hack giveaway streams on twitch. The popular items tend to be illegal and seasonal diy. When buying stuff on nookazon be super careful, some items are just best to avoid in general if hacked items are a no-go for you. It's also extremely popular there to trade illegal items by disguising it as a gift bag giveaway or sale. It's more common than you think, its unfortunate for some and fortunate for others. As long as you're careful with who you trade with it's pretty easy to stay 100% legitimate

fwiw, I don't think my island has ever dropped in ranking since I hit the jackpot. though I'm not sure why the game would make that distinction for giving (or in this case, not giving) diy recipes, in any case

laughing at the mental image of this, but still. ouch

thankfully, I've not had to worry about that, as all my cliff edges are covered up by something. be it other flowers, weeds, bushes, fencing, furniture, or some pathing that prevents flora from growing in the spot. which meant I had to make a new empty cliff edges elevated section specifically for spawning lily-of-the-valleys, during that time I actually wanted multiples for decoration lmao

I’d TT’d yesterday to kick out a villager and on 26/3 I attended Fauna’s birthday and her house birthday interior had the bunny topiary, not sure why the game put that in her home before the 28/3 but it looked really sweet so can’t wait to actually get my hands on it
