Today has been my first day to really relax in my town. I began the day by officially opening the new custom design sign, and then made a design saying 'Orchard' to put on it. I then went to Main Street to check out what the shops had in stock, and ended up getting two flower seeds from Leif and a new dress from Able Sisters. Sable remembered my name today, so I'm hoping this is a sign that she'll open up to me soon. I then bought 100 turnips from Joan, for 9,300 Bells, so I'm going to have to watch the prices in Re-Tail this week.

I spent the afternoon earning a few Bells doing the odd bit of fishing and bug catching, and then going for a swim off the shore of my humble town. It was raining earlier, but its cleared up now so the water is relatively warm.

My orchard is going great, most of the trees are almost fully grown, and I planted three new durian trees. I think I've got around four trees left to plant before I have the number of trees I want. I'm also desperately in need of some bushes to put around the orchard to section it off from the rest of the town. I'm also hoarding flowers as well.

I chose another public works project, a yellow bench, to put near my campsite, which was empty today. I'm hoping to also add a lamp post to make the area like a little park. Later I'm planning to add a fountain near the middle of the town.

I need to pay off my loan, which is 298,000 Bells, so I'm going to the Island tonight in the hope of catching some rare and expensive bugs. Also, netting a rainbow stag would be nice as Gloria has asked me to catch one for her. I quite like Gloria, so I'm trying my best to make her happy. I also like Marcie.

EDIT: Night time!
I've made three trips to the island tonight, and earned around 500,000 Bells. I've paid off my 298,000 Bell loan, and paid out a whopping 200,000 Bells for 30 bushes. I've planted them all around my orchard, and it's going to look gorgeous when it's finished! I did give Gloria the rainbow stag she wanted, but she gave me a very low value piece of furniture in return. However, she made it up to me later by paying out 14,400 Bells for a horned hercules beetle. I also donated the other horned hercules I caught to the museum.

So what started out as a very relaxing day, has developed into one in which I have completed a lot of jobs that needed doing, and earned myself a lot of Bells as well... even though I now only have 23, 000 Bells... Ah well, there's still tomorrow! Goodnight :)

Congratulations on your orchard and I hope you do well this week on the Stalk Market. I passed on playing this week, because Joan was selling at 108 bells/turnip. With the building and renovations I have yet to do, that was too rich for my blood.

I haven't seen many Rainbow Stag Beetles, but I did manage to get three Golden Stags and two Whale Sharks last night. It allowed me to pay off the cost of renovating the second floor of the Museum. Yay!

Like you, I have no money in the bank; I pay it out as fast as I get it on projects, but once my house is finished, I should be able to start saving a little... until I start the decorating, that is.

Thankyou so much! I've been reading your blog and really enjoying it! I can't wait to pay off my entire house and start decorating <3 I have big plans!

Wow sounds like you have been busy today, congratulations on your orchid I haven't set mine up yet, I came across a couple of rainbow stag beetles today as well as 4 sharks and an ocean sunfish which was a bonus.
Nice job on the campsite, that's going to be my next project... I have just finished a street lamp and caution sign.
