about "promoting" ourselves?

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering what exactly are we allowed to post on here when it comes down to things that "promote" ourselves. I've noticed people on here aren't allowed to post YouTube or tumblr things without it being taken down for such reasons, but then I see other people who post their YouTube videos or things the made that are still AC related, and nothing happens which is what's confusing me

Are only certain people allowed to do these things, or is there a specific reason behind it? I could see a thread of my you tube channel being taken down, but if I'm posting a thread with my HHD videos etc. Will that be fine?

I know that, but since I wanted to do some game play videos and an unboxing I wanted to know if that was allowed. I've seen some people post there's without any issues but since I see some other people get there's removed I wanted to be sure on it ><

To be specific, if I posted a thread with the first game play videos and an unboxing for anyone who wants to see it, will that be okay or will it be removed. I know general threads promoting your YouTube wouldn't be OK, but for HHD specific things is it then allowed?

We kind of play that kind of thing on a case by case basis. For example, if it's someone who is already an established member of the forum, that's different than someone who has newly registered and most likely just here to promote themselves. And of course it depends on what you're promoting as well. Some more leniency for Animal Crossing related content than other content makes sense.

In this case, perhaps it would be better if we had a general HHD Video sharing thread as I doubt you'll be the only one. (I know I will have some to post, hopefully starting on Monday or Tuesday!)

Yeah you should totally make one.
It would be interesting to see all the HHD videos in one place.
