I thought some people might find this interesting. Animal Crossing New Leaf is currently 4th (third in combined) on the USA pre-order chart with a total of 173,383 copies as of the 27th April 2013.

Yea, launch week I can see a million new copies sold globally. After June, I bet it'll be closer to 4 million new copies. I'm being optimistic for Nintendo lol

The chart implies that the increase for pre orders is only going to increase, A LOT! The best part is, the more people that buy it the more people we get to play with and better chances for street passing! this is going to be the best 3DS game out to date

Sweet! I had faith that New Leaf was going to do well in the states. I know a couple of people who are buying a 3DS purely for Animal Crossing. This is great, with any luck, this game might raise Animal Crossing's popularity, and that way we'll be able to utilize street pass.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see the numbers; I didn't think preorders would be that high. It seems New Leaf is going to be pretty successful at this rate. Hopefully this means that street passing won't be as big of an issue as most of us thought it'd be.
