So I booted up my Animal Crossing new leaf game after not playing it for a week or so. The game is set for the end of December, the last i played was December 31st. So I booted my game and went to set the clock back to December 31st so I didnt loose any villagers or have an negative effects from not playing in a few days. But, Instead of preventing I accidently time traveled a whole year forward! When I set the game back to December 31st, I forgot to change the year back to 2013... so it is now December 31st, 2014 on my game. I paniced as soon as I realized what I done. I thought I was going to loose my dreamies, specifically Fauna who I paid a lot for. I checked the map and saw that absolutely no one had moved out. What a relief. I had every villager still. And since beautiful town was in place. Not a lot of weeds appeared, but still a good amount. And my flowers didnt die. So yah.. wanted to share my story. x3 I think I got super lucky today to not loose anyone. *knocks on wood* now how the heck do I put the game back to 2013 if not early 2014.. xD

not really a lesson to be learned. Ive done this mistake countless times in previous games. But never cared about the villagers in my game. Its hard to keep track of all the numbers. LOL But one of my villagers came up to me today saying she wanted to leave, it was one I wanted out. So I used her as an sacrific to Time Travel back to Jan. 2013 instead of 2014. You can only loose one villager at a time. So I time traveled back, and she's still here and the rest of the villagers. huzzah? lol
