A quick question about friend codes, since I am sort of new to the 3DS (and friend codes in general).
Some people immediately show up that registered me. Some people take a while. Do both parties have to be online simultaneously for the registration to fully go through? I realize the DS saves cards, but I assumed it was all server based.

The best I can do to answer your question is assume .-. and I assume that both people need to go online at least once and check their friends list in order for the other to be registered? I don't think you both need to be on simultaneously ._. but then again I am not very sure xD
