this isnt very general tho, im not telling like 12 year olds to kill themselves

Fix your study habits and take your education more seriously.

BE YOURSELF! Don't waste time trying to be someone you're not.

Take education seriously and don't waste time or money on high school relationships

the only reason he even came across the issue of an artsy bald man is because he has 8 grindr boyfriends all 20 years older than he is at the same time. i would hope most people younger than him dont happen into a situation like that regardless. no shade, no tea, just facts.

This is more just something I'd tell my own younger self but here goes: please don't feel like you have to please absolutely everyone. Even when you're trying your hardest to be liked by everyone, there will be some people that act hateful just for the sake of it and it's not your fault.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET GOOD STUDY HABITS. I just took my bio exam for college and I know for a fact that I totally bombed it I didn't study at all because I am a failure of a legal adult.

If you feel like you legit need therapy, GO TO THERAPY.

If you're getting bullied at school, tell an adult, but not to be a downer, but from personal experience, not all adults at school with give a ****, so tell someone you know and trust.

If you're like 13-14 and you feel like your whole life is falling apart, I've been there, I've dealt with that, it sucks now, but when you're like 18/19, you'll look back and be so happy it's over. Yes, that sounds like a loooong ways away, but you'll get there.

Don't smoke
I don't smoke and never will I can assure you but smoking is a disgusting habit I see teens smoking and they're smoking their life away, smoking is bad for your health so don't do it

It's okay to ask for help.
I was too ashamed to do this and failed several classes due to not understanding assignments/doing them incorrectly.

Think loooooong and hard about what you actually want to do with your life before you go to school for it. Do a ton of research and talk to people that already work in that field if possible. Paying off a student loan for something you don't even enjoy doing is the worst.

Everyone goes through life at their own pace
If you feel like you're stuck right now, things could change for the better sooner than you think, so don't worry about it, enjoy any downtime you get instead of feeling bad for not making any progress in the moment. You have ur whole life to make progress anyway

Things may be tough, but eventually you are rewarded. Dont give up even when it looks like the world is ending for you. Try to live lightheartedly, and try to connect people around you, even if that sounds ridiculous... life takes a lot of turns!

Don’t grow up. It gets tedious. If you have to get older, make sure you use every second of your life for good, positive things.

Bang.

I try to life thinking that even in the darkest times, there is always something to smile or laugh at, still beauty in the world - keep a positive headspace and try to associate yourself with good people. Don't get caught up in things that make you feel bad, self-conscious or wrong, especially if it's just to please someone else.
Also, try to take all opportunities, and don't give up if something gets hard. Although with a lot of things, its never to late to go back and try again.

There are going to be times when you’re going to do something stupid. You’re gonna hurt someone, you’re gonna do something you’ll regret, you might even go through a period of intense depression because of it. And I’m not going to say it’s bad to feel bad for any of this. But just always know that at any one point or any one time there’s going to be at least one person to support you. One person you can tell anything to, tell them “I regret doing this so much.” And they will hear you out and even if they don’t have an response they are still there to listen. Whether that person be your mom, your friend from elementary school, your principal, your co-worker, or some random person you meet for a fleeting moment online anonymously in a chat room or a forum, there’s always support if you can be willing to seek it. And you’ll make it through eventually.

Wish there was someone like that for me in my life.

If there’s one thing kids already know and need to know, it’s to not let people trample you in an argument. Respond to each and every person with your own “rhetoric” and aggressive stances, ones that are reasonable and could be agreed upon by people. If others cannot accept what you have to say, or, in my case, think you’re just dumb for saying it, then they obviously have no idea who you are. And that’s where getting accomplishment after accomplishment comes in and proving them wrong.

EDIT: I would also recommend taking debate class if you haven’t already. I never took it in school, but I don’t need it.

#OverAchieve

EDIT: In short, graduating university would be the biggest middle finger I could give to both people online and IRL that have questioned me while not knowing how intelligent I am. Same can be applied for anyone. And it doesn’t end there for me. One way or another, I will make my dreams come true in life.

Enjoy the time you have with a loved one before you can't see them often anymore. I just finished high school and easing into the transition of only seeing my best friend 2-3 times a month rather than every day is being very difficult to handle. If you're failing your classes, pick yourself up. Get recovery credits. Nothing feels better than to graduate high school in front of all the people who told you that you couldn't do it.

Listen to the song Everyone's Free (To Wear Sunscreen). Yes, it's a catchy song from 20 years ago (oh, gods! I'm old!), but it really does have some good advice.
