Where is iit best ti stand when aiming at balloons ? I mean obviously underneath but where, do you stand above or below their shadow on the ghround or where they appear biggest on the screen. Its very annoying as it was easy on my old DS
You will be Below the shadow. Stand far enough away to where you can see them on your screen. If you shoot over them take a couple of steps towards them. Seems hard at first but you will get it down to where you will be able to hit almost everyone.
The shadow in comparison to where the balloon is changes throughout the day, matching with the sun/time. Like in real life. So where you stand in correspondence with the shadow will be changing throughout the day. You kind of have no choice but to use the balloon itself as your marker.
I should look up, see where it is, aim my balloon and wait until it goes over me.
I feel I can't use the shadow like I could in New Leaf. The shadow is no help except for me to sometimes see it when it is coming and my sound is to low. Haha
You don't have to stand directly underneath the balloon to hit it. If you are standing up to a few spaces south of the space it's floating over, you'll still hit the balloon (your shot basically "homes" in on it). The easiest way to hit it is to stand somewhere south of it slightly ahead of its path and hold A to ready your shot and release when it is directly above/north of you.
I can't use the shadows to judge where the balloons are since they change depending on the time of day, I usually get close and then pan my camera so I can look up and then wait until it's right above me before I shoot
Its hard for me to say. I just visually know when I'm in the right spot without thinking about it. Raising the camera helps to understand where the balloon is to begin with. The real trick is making sure you don't shoot the balloon down over something like flowers, fences, or water.
Thank you all for your replies - I think the problem seems to be with thecontrolsand my inability to use them !! How do you do things like looking up or down etc - i only know how a couple of viewpoints that are set automatically by hitting the right stick ?
You can get a birds eye view angle by tilting the right stick down. This helps a whole lot when shooting balloons as you can easily see where to stand right underneath them to shoot them.
