So my friend have this issue not sure is via dodocode or friend also. Somehow she have 3 visitors via dodocode unable to fly into her island but she can fly to theirs. Weird huh? So another close friend help her to tried it out via dodocode and still no visitor. However, according to her before this incident there is one friend successfully fly in.

Anyone encounter issue like this? Is it because her internet(using wifi) or her switch lite problem or someone else issue actually? I read somewhere about Nat B or Nat D but I not sure whats that even mean.

bump. anyone have this issue? still persisting. No one can fly to her island but she can fly out.

there are different types of NAT connections for the switch. i'm not entirely sure how they work either, but you can look up "nintendo switch nat types" to find an explanation of what each one means. generally you want nat a or b from what i can tell? like i currently have a nat c connection, which connects me to the internet and all that, but doesn't let me visit other islands or have others visit mine (via dodo code at least). you can look up ways to fix that but it involves having access to your router (which is a problem if you don't own the wifi you use, like me in a school dorm).

Usually resetting your WiFi modem/router fixes this. Have your friend reset it and try to reconnect, and see if the connection is better.

If not, connect to a different WiFi network if there's any available.

Most routers will be packaged and eventually hooked up with either Type A, or Type B. Type B is the likely culprit in this case. It functions pretty much identically to Type A, but cannot connect to more strict NAT Types, such as C, etc, so it'll block those connections. Someone in the group likely has Type C or higher of a NAT type.

The most desired NAT type is Type A, as it has no restrictions in outgoing and incoming connections, so it can connect with any type of connection. The only way to change it is to go into your routers settings. There are many quality guides out there on Google that are very easy to follow.

Personally, I test your connection on your console to see if you're Type A or Type B for your NAT connection. If you're either one, I wouldn't worry much about it. I'm Type B myself, and choose to stick with it because I don't feel comfortable opening up my router's connection so much.

Actually I have no idea what is the Nat B or Nat D lol but I have a friend told me that they can't play online due to this. I always thought switch is all the same?

I will let her know about this. She had this problem since the latest 2.0 update.
