Alternative for people who dont currently have AC

It wanted a permanent connection!
That would eat all of my data that I pay for.

Then it wouldn't let me play.

I read the reviews about the subscription.
What was I thinking!

Uninstalled it.

Unfortunately, we won’t be adding alternatives to the animal crossing game-related activities. While we understand that there may be some events that not everyone can participate in due to not owning the game anymore, we cannot accommodate alternative options as it would not be fair to the many others who do play the games and enter under the requirements. This is still an animal crossing forum after all, so animal crossing events will always be a staple here! There’ll be plenty of other activities in the coming weeks (not just animal crossing game related) that will contribute to balloon token points! Hope you guys understand!

That may depend on what's considered as alternative.
Stuff like pitfall thing would be hard, but if it's just designing the room, then there may be things that could be a okay. 'Cause if more members can enjoy participating, it'd be more more amusing as community.

To get what they want in this event you would have to play PC for months and spend real money.

I've been playing ACPC for months and I can definitely tell you that (1) you do not have to be playing for month to craft easy items, and (2) you do not need to spend money. In the half-year I've spent playing I've gotten so much already and haven't spent a single cent IRL (ACPC is region-locked where I live so I'm not able to input a billing address anyway). I'm pretty sure you can whip up a feng shui room in a few days.

People are recommending ACPC because it's your best alternative since you seem to really want to join! If you decide not to do that then there really isn't anything else left for you, I'm afraid to say.

Yeah, ACPC does require an internet connection though. Sorry if you're stuck on limited data ahhh.
But if there is a way to help those without a game, I'd be willing.

I had a feeling since yesterday that you would need AC to enter an event. I knew it to a moral certainty.

I just didn't think you would need it for almost all of them.

It should count that I've played AC devoutly since 2005, but things happen.

Oh well..

I wouldn't be able to earn the Bad Luck Charms for even half a potion.

For the record, I will never accept PC as part of the AC series, and it isn't fair that because our towns are gone for whatever reason.. that you dismiss us as dedicated AC fans and exclude us from AC related events.

We are active members of your community, here every day.

I'm sure there could have been other ways we could have participated other than being almost pressured into downloading PC as the only option.

Anyway. Thems the breaks.

To be blunt, there's only been 3 released events so far, so to say "almost all of them" as if they've released all the events is kind of a stretch. I'm confident there will be more non-game events in the days to come (I mean, we haven't had our yearly house of mirrors yet *wink wink*).

I know how you feel, I've felt that way before with other events I couldn't participate in (like cooking contests jkhsdfj) but I really don't think the staff does any of this with the intention to leave people out. This is an Animal Crossing forum after all, so it makes sense for them to do Animal Crossing-themed events once in a while.

And though you don't consider PC as a part of the AC series, you can't deny there are many users on site who play the game as well! PC has the same aspect of room-decorating as the AC series so it's not unreasonable for people to suggest this to you. The only reason I guess why it feels "pressuring" is because you really want to join but don't have many options left. If PC isn't your cup of tea then we don't know how else we can help. :c

Anyway, long story short let's just make do with what we have and have fun in the event regardless!

Just want to say I 100% agree with you on this one. Ever since day one. Glad to see other people feel this way about PC.
