Alternative for people who dont currently have AC

We are active members of your community, here every day.

I'm sure there could have been other ways we could have participated other than being almost pressured into downloading PC as the only option.
.

I'm here every day. I wanted to be part of this.
I feel totally left out.

It's more like having PC shoved down my throat, and I'm full.

You are unable to take part in the events due to decisions you made with your own copy of ACNL. No one here has excluded you. Please stop trying to blame other people (especially the users here who have tried to help you with the PC recommendation) and instead learn to take some responsibility for your own actions.

You've said your bit now it's time to move on. Nothing is going to change through this prolonged complaining. All you are going to achieve is annoying the kind people who have so far sympathised with you.

That was mean ^^^
Anyways, John Wick I get how you feel but please understand that this an animal crossing forums. You wouldn't expect a Pokemon forum to have an animal crossing event and vice versa. We appreciate your readiness and willingness to participate in the festivities, but please don't bring down the atmosphere for everyone else.

Is there really no way you guys can just give PC a try? It doesn't make sense to complain if you don't. The game is free and widely available to anyone and the events don't really require all the much. It's a lot of work but that's just the fun of getting to participate. In a way it's better because you get to experience the journey of getting there.
Unlike the other users that only have place a few things

I'd hate to see you left out so I hope you reconsider :)

Just want to say I 100% agree with you on this one. Ever since day one. Glad to see other people feel this way about PC.

I honestly don't consider it as part of the main series either but like. I still enjoy it. And no one said otherwise though? lol

Is it really enjoyably? I've heard from a few that it's a cash grab

I'm not melting my new phone's internal battery by installing games on it.

I don't play microtransaction games or any online games.

At this point it sounds like you don't want to participate because your not willing to do any alternative. Remember this is an Animal Crossing Forum so the game is thr main focus point.

I mean it's a total cash grab ngl but I guess I learned to enjoy the free things too! I love ACPC but have never spent a single cent on it and I still get to enjoy the events and complete tasks c:

There are very few people out there that dont enjoy it and dont consider it part of AC. Its been drowned out by the love for it. Wick is, in all these years, the first to voice the same opinions I have about the game

Ok so the game is completely enjoyable without purchasing stuff? Cool! Thanks the information!

I really enjoyed it for a few months and then stopped playing it, but that's just me. I get bored of things very easily. I think the game is great, and that there's a lot of different things to do, especially today. I admit that some things (especially the biscuits) are very very pricy, but in no way do they force you to spend money. My camp looks good and I'm at a decent level without spending any cent.
I guess I try to see the good in everything but PC wasn't bad in my opinion.

Totally! When you do download PC, feel free to take a gander at my camp and see how I?ve been fairing without IRL spending ;) I?m pretty sure there are many other players who enjoy the game and haven?t spent anything either :) You just have to be a little more dedicated to the events (since you can?t pay for the easy/faster way), but that?s part of the fun too <3

Okay tbh I felt this, I actually got bored of PC when I first played and I just deleted the game after a while. A few months later I re-installed it for the sake of giving it another shot and now I’m hooked! I kind of regret missing out a few months, but I’m glad reissues are a thing. And to each their own!

How bad is the tutorial? I hate games that barely let you play in the beginning. It's an easy turn off early in the game

it's not bad but you're obviously very limited at the start of the game

I agree with mog, but it gets way more fun with all the events and raging over fortune cookies. (I have four organs/pianos from the grim lily cookie and 5 pigtails from Bob's circus cookie.)

I mean really, just about every game in existence is a cash grab

also, pc is an ac game

af is an ac game

idc for either myself, but saying they aren't ac games sounds more like personal pettiness than anything else

i wouldn't say so, it was blunt at worst.

blunt only ever gets me warnings/infractions for "rude behavior" though :<

I think OP?s question is settled so I?m going to lock this thread as it is going off topic.

To summarise some of the questions raised in this thread, we will not have alternatives for events as we want to keep the activity true to its objective. And while it is very thoughtful, we will not be allowing collaborations on the Feng Shui and Pitfall challenges, as we have not allowed this in past events that had personal designing elements to it so we will not lift the exception for this one. Some might find this a little unfair, but we cannot simply change the rules for an event every time someone cannot participate in it, as it would defeat the purpose of the activity. There will be plenty events in the upcoming weeks that don?t require having an animal crossing game that everyone can participate in! Thanks for understanding!
