Am I the only one that thinks this game is bad? (Opinion Revised) It gets better

I'm really enjoying the game. I play late at night mostly before bed for about 30 minutes. This is the kind of game you can pick up and play in short bursts. So far the game is exactly what I was expecting, so I am not disappointed.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing some of the elements from this game in the next main Animal Crossing title. Decorating is easier and the addition of things like rugs is nice. :)

Sorry to hear that some are disappointed though.

lol really? this game is sooo fun!! you can design anything you like.. well from its title Happy Home Designer and from all the trailers and previews, you should've known that this game is different than New Leaf and it's all about home designing.. so yeah i feel sorry that you got disappointed..

ive enjoyed what ive played so far. also, i like the idea of nintendo expanding the AC universe beyond what is considered the norm for the franchise to see if they can make it bigger and/or better. most of the people complaining about this game are people who either dont like this type of game genre, or are still bitter about nintendo not showing a "real" (whatever THAT means) animal crossing on wii u.

For a spin off game, it's really well done. It really just comes down to the fact if you like designing homes or not. I mean I like it, it's really cute! ^^ Even though Lottie is pisses me off

I guess it might be alright if you like designing houses. I honestly think it's a rip-off, it's not worth the money it costs. I've seen gameplays and it looks boring and repetitive. So, no, you're not the only one who thinks this game sucks! I'd rather see them working towards making a new game, instead of what could have been just a DLC. I like the idea of putting stuff outside, or decorating houses, but as I said, that would have been a good idea for a DLC, not a completely different game.

So far, from what I've seen of the game, it looks very repetetive and boring, but I haven't tried the game yet, so my opinions aren't set in stone.

Edit : AC:AF looks like the worst **** in the world. I was so excited seeing an HD animal crossing for the Wii U, but..... Then I saw those "Mario party" spots on the ground. It just looks like a reskin of Mario Party, with some FEW different mini-games and gameplay elements.

I love this game but of course I can see why people wouldn't like it considering its kind of a hit or miss spin off focusing on decorating and decorating only. I knew what I was getting into when I bought the game so it made it pretty enjoyable for me.

I don't understand the whole Amiibo card thing though, like im not looking to spend more money on a card reader or a new DS (considering the fact a 2DS with a card reader doesn't exist...), I feel like its a cheap shot to make a profit though and I hope they don't somehow add this whole system into a new animal crossing game.

Ok, so I've played this game for a decent bit and surprisingly I'm warming up to it. The stuff they added was fantastic, I just wish they would add that to a full fledged AC title. For instance, half tile placement of items, being able to place tiles directly in front of your house, and the 8 full pages of custom design space to memtion a couple. I would like my own space to design. I'm working a job that pays literally nothing. That makes no sense to me. Anywho, we'll see how it pans.

We're all hoping this is going to be implemented in the next AC title. For a spin off, we can't ask too much, but I think this game will be plenty entertaining for lots of people. It didn't make much sense how we became the Mayor in ACNL, let Nintendo give you a little nonsense to break up the busy boring days we live :p

I'm sorry you feel that way - obviously it's not for everyone.

I wouldn't let it get to you, either. It's just a spin-off title.

What were you expecting? It's a spin-off that specifically centres around creating houses and villager lots.

You wouldn't buy fire emblem and then complain that it's only fighting, would you?

I really love it so far, idk. I think it's super cute and a great way to get new house ideas! I also love visiting the facilities and meeting my villagers from my ACNL town in HHD! The new decorating features are fantastic, as well. c: It's not a full-fledged AC game, but I think everyone should've figured that out from the title. I mean, "Happy Home Designer" doesn't exactly imply a full town with shops and mountains of housing debt.

I like it so far and think it's funny and cute, but I can see it potentially getting boring quickly. At first I thought I would need to collect a bunch of Amiibo cards too but now that I have read more about what they do in the game, I don't see much reason to buy them.

I actually really enjoy this game. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't go out and explore the town and the fact you can select the same plots of land over and over again is a bit silly, but designing homes and buildings is just plain fun for me. I got a lot of questions about this game from friends as to whether or not they should get it and I told them if they like "repetitive simulation games" that they would like this game. If they didn't like Animal Crossing, this might not be their cup of tea. It will be a mixed bag for everyone.

It's a spinoff, so it's not supposed to be like the other games and tbh, you are WORKING because its your JOB. The point is to design the world and you have control, which tbh is what people have wanted for a long time e.x. placing houses, perfect interiors, perfect landscaping etc.

Yeah, but people typically receive compensation for their jobs. Again, see earlier post, I like the game now. Get over it.

In the meantime, check out Noodle Town... 0892-7704-884
