I'm personally quite fond of Isabelle, and am not sure why other people might dislike her.
She's a devoted assistant, and it's adorable how she holds little ceremonies for each completed PWP.
The personality aspects that she shows (such as the scene involving the shell, or the napping scene that unlocks the Dream Suite PWP) are very endearing. She tries hard, she's ever-so slightly scatterbrained, and I think that she's perfect that way.
