A lot of information about ACNH has come out recently in the past few weeks. However, I like to avoid as much information as I can so that I may discover the new changes and updates myself when I play the game. Is anyone else like this?
I stopped watching the videos. Other than the Direct and some reactions/analysis videos, I haven't watched a full video since then. So I haven't watched any of the PAX stuff.
I am not necessarily trying to avoid the information, but I do want to wait to seeing too much gameplay videos now until I actually get to play the game.
I was trying very hard to avoid information, but b/c of all the past videos that I watched of animal crossing, every single day for like the past 3 months, youtube has be notifying me of just about every animal crossing video that is being uploaded. I'm not subscribed to any animal crossing news channels or anything like that, but I guess youtube thought it was what I wanted beacause of all the past animal crossing videos I watched.
It was easy to avoid information when I wasn't being notified every single day of something animal crossing related, but I couldn't take it anymore.
I would've been avoiding information as well however if that was not the case.
Me too. Told myself no more info after the direct. I have watched everything since the direct lol. I cant stay away. I wish they wouldn't show anything else since I lack self control when it comes to animal crossing.
I'm the type of person who can look at a lot of stuff about a upcoming release and still fully enjoy it, so I'm just looking at everything that pops up. Mostly due to such a huge drought we had on these games, and having so much information just felt a bit overwhelming that it felt weird to me NOT to look at it all.
I'm gonna enjoy the games regardless, though. Seeing =/= experiencing.
I want to find out information about things we are unfamiliar with, such as nook miles and DIY recipes and how to unlock things.
But because of the gameplay videos, we’re seeing a lot of just character roaming and such that I didn’t want to spoil for myself when roaming the game for the first time on my own.
However- I do like that everything from PAX and most of the gameplay we’ve seen is all in the autumn season, so that when we get the game (those who choose the N hemisphere) the spring and summer seasons will be new to us!
I'm not really watching videos anymore, but I am listening to people's reactions if I like them. I've cut my content down a lot and I pick and choose what I want to see before it comes out. I'm not seeking out extra information though.
Seeing is not the same as actually having it in my hands and doing it. It will be magical! Especially since I heard that it looks better than how it films, so that got me excited.
I wanted to avoid all info after the direct but... that didn't happen :c
Luckily though it seems nintendo is keeping a lot of info from us still, and even had the people who got to play for an hour in a private session sign an NDA about some of the features they saw. So there should be plenty of fun things to discover we dont know anything about at all!
I'm happy to find out all the info that's out there and have enjoyed watching the videos and trailers. I think there'll still be some surprises and even if there aren't I'll still enjoy the game.
I will try to avoid too many spoilers from people who get to start playing before me on release day, but even then I might be tempted to check things (like whether the question you're asked at the start affects the colour of your airport or something!)
I'm not really watching videos anymore either, and I didn't watch much of the PAX ones. The direct was extremely satisfying for me, so I don't want to see too much else.
However, I DO look at people's screenshots and read the posts. I don't mind seeing some, but I don't want to see everything in action for myself.
As soon as the game launches in the very first region, the embargo starts on my accessing anything AC:NH related until 9p PST. Before then, I'm soaking it all in. I mean, OMG, live freaking wallpapers?!?!
me too! it's really hard though because nintendo keeps releasing all these little trailers. i'm trying to keep away from reviews because i don't want to see any new footage that gives away "too much" that i'd rather discover on my own.
i?m like this, too - i haven?t watched any of the new gameplay videos that surfaced after pax east and am even trying to refrain from watching any new advertisements for it aha
