i had an iphone for a couple years but after switching to android i dont think i'd switch back. the only reason i'd want an iphone is imessage since most of my friends use it esp for group chats

Always been with Android, and I'd never even consider switching to iOS. I feel like iPhones are far too expensive for the product that you receive, they're usually incredibly fragile with short lifespans. I can't really afford to replace my phone that often, so I'd rather have something more reliable and of better value.

I like that androids have more freedom of what you can do with it also they don't baby you as much as iphones. I hate Iphones because for basic features they limit themselves to their own products, they could be bad and you can't choose anything else. They adapt features from other phones and claim its revolutionary when the competition has been doing it for years and they take out features that everyone uses and then say its innovation.

I voted for iOS! I don't have an iPhone, but I do have an iPod 5 and a Samsung S3. I love my iPod and use it for almost everything, but the S3 drives me crazy. The notes feature is dreadful, using the Internet is a nightmare, the controls are extremely frustrating, it only has like one font it can ever display, and the lowest volume I can have one of the preset ringtones on is deafening (plus the lowest volume setting is pretty loud when it comes to things like YouTube as well). Both devices restart randomly at times, but my phone does it much more (but that may be Pocket Camp's fault as it seems to happen more often when I'm using that). I have a few complaints about my iPod as well (lately the touchscreen has been acting up occasionally and sometimes my browser tabs disappear), but other than that I love it; the displays are much nicer than on my Samsung, it's way easier for me to use, and I've put it through so much abuse (dropping on hardwood floors, throwing it at walls, etc.) and it's still in perfect condition minus a couple of scuffs on the back.

You mean the Samsung Galaxy S3? The latest version is the S9 and I have the S7. Could it be because it’s an older model? Just curious.

My first phone was an iphone which I barely ever used, and it kept running out of charge and eventually broke as when ether I turned it off, it'd turn on again. I switched to anroid and found it so much simpler for me. I just can't use iphones, they're just strange to me. xD

This should really say Android vs iOS since android is an operating system and NOT a singular company. But, it’s pretty obvious that Android would win since SO many different companies use it whereas only Apple uses iOS. So in reality there’s obviously going to be more people using Android (myself included) so it’s not really a fair poll lol.

i have an android and ios, and an android emulator on my laptop, and honestly to me i feel like android has too many glitches and bugs. i've never had any problems with ios, the design is nice and it's easy to use.

though maybe that's because i haven't used the newer android devices, just the old ones

Android is just better, also iphones break at the slightest drop.

My iphone shattered by falling gently from about a 1 foot drop on to an extremely plushy carpet with a case on it. Meanwhile, I've actually dropped my android from standing position multiple times and the thing still looks brand new.

iPhone is better, definitely. They are easy to use and very convenient. Almost all Androids are so fragile and the iPhone is very hard to break. And it's more pleasant to play this on iPhone.

Apple phones dont die after a year of using em plus their so much easier to use.

Apart from a few apps that I prefer on iOS (Notes, Weather, Podcasts) I really don't care for it or Apple products in general. Their latest "budget" iPhone ships with a sub 1080p display at $750. This would be considered completely unacceptable by any other manufacturer, but Apple is Apple and people will buy it because they want to have the lastest iPhone. Apart from that, Apple uses proprietary cables and ports, doesn't include fast chargers, removed the headphone jack for a bull**** reason, has no expandable storage, has small batteries in their products, and are more locked-down and less customizable than Android.

None of this is to say than an iPhone X is a bad phone, but compared to the competition in the price range, there's no reason to buy one.

Anyone referring to hardware build of android.... do y'all know how many different build of androids there are out there.

I like apple UI but the build quality is dog ****. Also their prices are insane. My oneplus 6 is so much better than my sisters iphone. The battery life, the camera, the available apps for my interests (I use a lot of study aids you can't get on ios). I think there's a lot of ****ty offshoots of the android os (like samsungs build) and I'll admit androids current emojis make me think about ending it all, but it's reliable and will last longer than an iphone.

iOS/iPhone etc. any day. I don't get why people are so caring about customization and stuff, I prefer it clean and simple and I had less issues with an iPhone. I got one old HTC phone with Android for my graduation with **** performance that couldn't take a hit or stuff so yeahhh. And on newer, especially Samsung phones that use it I can't navigate their menus for life.

iPhone. I couldn't stand my android and upgraded to the iPhone 5 and stayed with Apple since, iPhones seem a lot easier to use, I like the layout and the overall aesthetic of the phone. In my experience, iPhones tend to last longer than 2 years, I've only just upgraded from the 6s and that phone performed perfectly fine and is still useable. I've also dropped it plenty of times from waist height along with it being dropped down some stairs, it never suffered any damage.

I've only ever had bad experiences with androids, mine got increasingly slower as it got older, and my contract was only for two years so the phone wasn't old at all, I cannot stand the look of emojis, nothing is easy to find, not a big fan of how the android's exterior looks. My mum had an issue where Facebook forced her to combine her normal text messages with the Facebook messenger app, took us months to figure out how to separate the two. Even though people complain about how you can't customise your phone's menu (or app icons) on iPhone, I have found that when you do, the android lags even more than it already does, I also personally don't care for that sort of thing anyway. I can't find myself going back to android any time soon.
