Animal Crossing City Folk: Age Groups

11-15 although there is a great amount of maturity difference between an eleven and fifteen year old.
Not entirely...

Your age DOESN'T really factor in with your maturity. However, you're age DOES pre-dictate what would certain expectations would be. For example, if you're 13, then it's expected that you have generally don't have much knowledge into Forums or community with other members of a forum with proper forum etiquette. At the same time, this type of generalization can affect anyone of older age if it seems like so.

Take me for example.

I'm a pretty young teen who knows his way around vocabulary and general English skills. At first, if I hadn't told you my age, certain people would assume I was some old man who has blunt and very boring. I'm pretty sure that people like to judge others by their age, but you need to reserve some space to look into their background if they truely are what you think they are.

I turn 19 here in May... so I am close to be considered old here? Haha anyways, I met some pretty cools guys on here.... and not so cool guys either...

I'm embarrassed about my age.... I'm only 13, I feel like I'm such a little kid compared to most people here.
You needn't feel embarassed. Simply portray an intelligent being behind the poster and people will respect you.

I feel ya there, man. Most of the people I know irl who play AC:CF are in my same age group (21 and older)... but it really seems that most people on here are in the 11-15 year old set. It always feels a bit awkward when I meet people from on here. I inevitably get to the question "how old are you?" or "are you in high school?" ... and then I tell them my age.

At least this isn't like a lot of games or online chat where it becomes a creepy pickup joint. (at least... to my knowledge it doesn't).

Naturally I get less respect, seeing that I'm only 13 and much of the people on this website are older then me.

But since there's nothing I can do about it, I guess I'll just have to deal with it.
