I just formed a conspiracy theory that has to do with animal crossing. “What if the reason we’re able to get posters of our villagers and NPCs is because they’re all famous?”
think about it. we’re able to get framed pictures which is something any normal person would have of friends or family around their house. But we’re also given the option to purchase a poster of them. And what usually gets posters of themselves? That’s right: Superheros, Musicians, actors, TikTokers, etc.
So I have a conspiracy that villagers that move onto your island are actually various types of celebrity faces in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons (yes this one specifically) universe. Every villager that is living on your island right now is a celebrity icon in one way or another. It’s safe to say Rosie could be the Mariah Carey of Animal Crossing. Some villagers have easier identified roles as part of their design (Agent S+others), but this could simply be broken down to their personal taste or amount they distance themselves to their famous work from personal life. The island you’re all living on could be compared to Beverly Hills etc.
I know some people will chime in and say “But peppy, smug and jock villagers talk about wanting to be famous all the time! this is fake news spewing nonsense.” But that’s where you’re wrong. Who other than a celebrity and or bellionaire would be able to afford something as expensive as a lifetime getaway package to a potentially prosperous and carefree island such as your own? Think about it. All of this was uncovered in the latest entry of the game.
