Animal Crossing GCN ROM Island And NES Games On A Mac

Hey, I started playing the original Animal Crossing on my Mac through emulation. I've seen a guide on how to connect to Animal Island if you are using a PC, but I haven't seen a way to do it with a Mac. Mac doesn't support VBA and instead uses OpenEmu for GBA features. Does anyone know how to connect to Animal Island on a Mac? BTW does anyone also know how to get the NES games to work on a Mac? I know I can just download emulated versions of those games, but I think it would be cool if I could play them through my game..
