It looks very nice and cute, but I already have a Switch, so I'll pass. I just have the newer model (the higher battery life one), with the original Red and Blue JoyCons it came with. I do like the pastel ones for this Switch, so maybe if they sold those separately, I'd just get those. If not, the purple and orange set look cool too. Only problem is that I don't really have a reason to get more JoyCons, and I would like to get a Pro Controller or a GameCube style wireless one...

How are you all getting your Switches on the 13th? Here in the Netherlands the AC-themed Switch planned release date is on March 20, so the release date of the game.
I am already stressed because I am sooooo hoping it will arrive in the morning so I have time to transfer my account and save data from my old Switch to the new Animal Crossing Switch, and then I still need to download the game before I am able to play!

I pre ordered mine a few days after it was announced. And I got really lucky too, because the place I pre ordered it at only got one pre order, and I got it. I’ve never had a switch before, so I’m so excited to get mine!
Interesting. The official release date by Nintendo is the 13th. Should be like that everywhere.

Haha yes! I was really excited when I learned about that, too. That sounds like fun! I actually kind of wanted to pick mine up myself, but BB won't let me change it from shipping, so I'll just have to be content with that (assuming it doesn't get canceled). And I've heard that the OG Switch goes for almost full list price or even list price itself, so that's cool for you!
Yeah, I'd think that too, as it was also mentioned in the Direct. But every webshop in the Netherlands states March 20 as the release date, so yeah...

It's the 13th in NA (maybe just even the US, I'm not sure) only. It doesn't come packaged with the game the way the consoles released on the 20th do.

It is because the switch console in the US is not being released with the game. Literally everywhere else it’s being released with the game. Unsure why it’s like that for the US
I'm okay with how they did it in the US. On average, it's less expensive (the system has a higher price outside the US to accommodate the bundled game), we can choose physical or digital, and we get our option of vendors with their various pre-order bonuses.
Did your Walmart restock the switch today? I've been trying to snag one on multiple different websites, but unfortunately they always seem to be out of stock

I already own a switch but I've been waiting on this AC themed switch since before the game was announced. I was hoping more than anything the special edition wouldn't be announced as a lite, that would have crushed me!
