I'm certain you've gotten enough rebuttal but, you know that I make those massive murals hmm? I've contributed hundreds of patterns in the pursuit of making a better mural and at no point in time have i ever hacked a mural.

My process goes like this:

Find the image.
Scale it down in paint
Send it to Photoshop and crop out backgrounds or anything else I don't want in the mural.
Filter the color out and test out the 16 hand made palettes that I've made to see which palette set will work the best.
Split the image with anicro murapro
Run Desapro and input by hand.

It's a long process my friend, high quality murals and patterns don't just happen instantly... you gotta take time and effort to get a decent result.

yeah, i can look at small pictures and do that but nothing bigger than 32 by 32.. haha
the one i entered i just made randomly on my own though

Things like that can be done easily in a half an hour. I do them all the time, and it shows in my upstairs.

Just because something can be hacked doesn't necessarily mean it was.

I do this all the time, I just use a generator to show me each colour.

But doesn't that seem cheap for a pattern contest? Sure you put all your time into making it, but you basically copy something that you didn't make with your own creativity.

And as for the contest, i might as well enter one, but they're kinda old, is that alright?

Its an older picturer that I took in my older town IN SUMMER BEFORE I restarted my town but I left the pattern at my friends town to pick up back later in my new town.

My submission was done freestyle. I only use generators for the photos and whatnot, not actual clothes that I'm going to wear.
