Well, the series began with K.K. appearing on the screen talking about how great it was that you're moving out and getting your own place, I think HE is Al, and you're Sam Beckett then! If you don't know the Quantum Leap references, you can look them up!

Yes, Quantum Leap reference! You win extra points for that.
I did use multiple sources for inspiration. Remember the Hadron Collider experiment of 2012 and how everyone reacted to that? Or Y2K? Yeah, I took from those, too. As well as Quantum Leap, Sliders, Warehouse 13, Stargate, Fringe, actual history, Japanese lore, ect.
Also, Charles Bernardo's AC animations were what got me thinking, so I kind of worked a lot of this around how the only Human in town would think all of this was normal, and the usage of leaves and time reset, moving furniture, instant delivery and not being able to mail stuff to Mom was normal...

K.K. Slider being an Al type figure. ... I love it! He's everywhere, so it makes sense.

Named the chononaught "Sam Leighton" --in a loving tribute to Sam Beckett. , and added...... AIKA VILLAGE.
The most famous horror story village in ACNL now has a place in this theory/story/thing.

I'd started a story about a train breaking down near Aika Village by accident, and just used my characters for ease. All I had was 5 pages just to get a feel for it written in 1st person --a POV I never use. One of the other main characters is made up. The other is in homage to the animated series that started it all.
