Just the fact that I even have to put this shows how trolls are winning in spreading wrong information about the GameCube's version. Quite a few are erroneously titling it "Population Growing". This is wrong on two fronts. First, that was a population sign, not a subtitle. It's what you see throughout America when entering small towns or communities. They say stuff like "Welcome to Smallville Population: 57,000". You don't call the town "Population: 57,000", you call it "Smallville". Second, there is a colon and an exclamation point, so the erroneous abbreviation would actually be "AC:G!". People argue "Well, that's what's on the cover, so that's its name". Well, by that logic then, the real full name would be "Only For Player's Choice GameCube Welcome to Animal Crossing: Population: Growing! Special Present On Card! Memory Card Included! Official Nintendo Seal Rated E Electronic Software Ratings Board ESRB Nintendo" because all that is ALSO on the cover! That means you're not playing ACG, you're actually playing OFPCGCWT:AC:G!SPOCMCIONSREESRBESRBN, by that logic. The spine of the case, the game disc, the memory card, the e-reader cards, the title screen, the commercial made be Nintendo even all call it Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing, and Animal Crossing for Nintendo GameCube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ4CKEE2rew). So, the correct title is simply Animal Crossing, or AC, even AC:GC or AC:GCN are all acceptable and correct names. Now that I've cured the ignorance, spread this accurate information to the rest of the community. Real fans will call it by its real name to begin with, and that's Animal Crossing for Nintendo GameCube. So, if you're not calling it Animal Crossing, you're obviously not a real fan!
