Good evening! Time once again for a fabulous foray into the hamlet of Animalia. Let's jump right in.
I began the day by checking my mail, finding a letter from Apollo saying he's glad we're friends. That honestly made me smile...I love the big guy so much. He tries so hard to be a big, intimidating presence, but I know him. Underneath those gruff feathers, he's just a big softie. Heading off on my patrol, I found quite a few wilted flowers today, even though I thought I watered almost all of them yesterday. I found a new orange cosmos today, and I need to figure out what to do with it. Hopeless romantic Eugene was out and about, and he pinged me, wanting to sell me a warm painting. Since I already had one in my museum, I declined, and he played it off like he was joking. Sure, Eugene. Sure. Speaking of paintings, Redd was in town today, but the only real painting he had (the graceful painting) is also in my museum already, so I didn't purchase anything from the foxy con artist today. Coming back and heading around my town counterclockwise, I decided to check on Astrid. She wanted something to replace her kitchen sink in her house, but since I think it looks so nice on her back wall, I didn't find her anything. Besides, T&T weren't selling any good 2-space furniture today. Back outside, Punchy pinged me, and told me he wanted to move on the 31st. This is the second time in a month he's wanted to move, and like before, I am not about to let him leave. Even if he does look like he's on drugs.

Indeed, Punchy. Indeed.
Continuing on my way, I decided to drop in on Rosie, who asked me to fetch her a piece of fruit to get her mind off all the sugary snacks she wants to eat instead. I headed to the first fruit tree I could find and got her a peach. She seemed to love it, and gave me a red gym tee as thanks. I saw Lolly by Re-Tail, and she wanted to head to my house right away. I agreed, and made the semi-long walk back to show her my place. She commented on my comfortable place to live, and also my bookshelves. Apparently, she's in the middle of a book called "Business Strategies for Dolts". Gee, I wonder what book series that was ripped off from... After showing her my rooms, she headed off, and I could continue my patrol about town. Punchy was now fishing in the pond by my picnic blanket, saying how he'd be rubbing it in everyone's nose if he caught a big fish. I think you're in the wrong place for that, Punchy. Apollo wanted me to catch a river fish for him, so I managed to catch a carp and gave it to him. As thanks, he gave me a bass (the instrument, not the fish). I talked to Savannah and Mira as well, but they didn't have anything that interesting to say. After finishing my watering, fossil-finding and shopping for the day, I realized I hadn't had all that much to do from my villagers, so I decided to take a trip out to the island. While I didn't wait around long enough for nightfall to come so I could nab some expensive beetles, I did do a fair bit of fishing and bug-catching, scoring a fair few nice catches like the ocean sunfish below.

Upon filling my basket, I headed back to the mainland, sold my catches, and deposited my excess Bells in the bank. My balance topped 36.8 million, so I'm one step closer to the gold Bell Saver badge. Punchy pinged me again later on, and asked me the sweet/spicy food question again. This time, I chose spicy, and he told me he loves curry so hot it makes you sweat and cry at the same time. I firmly believe that any food that makes you do that should not be put into your mouth.
To end my day, I went to T&T to get some wrapping paper. Upon consulting a list online, I saw that the kitchen sink was indeed one of Lolly's preferred gifts, and even though it isn't yellow (her preferred color), I decided to stick with it, so I wrapped it up and will be giving it to her for her birthday tomorrow.
And that wraps up my relatively slow day in ACNL. Tomorrow is Lolly's birthday, so I'm looking forward to that!
